I didn't know it was a room in a place where people actually live, I thought it was an Air bnb set up. It was noisy as tenants were loud which is understandable as it was their place but had a rat or possum running around in the roof space which made the stay unbearable.

"Like staying in my friends spare room but with nicer linens."

Only half the normal cost for a similar room. Totally clean and tidy. Friendly staff answered my call right away when I forgot the house pass code. The padlock offered made me feel more secure when I left my stuff in the room than if there was just a key. Linens were the standard you would expect in an expensive hotel.

Third in line for the shower meant cold water. A califont would be better than a hot water heater tank. Seriously, no other complaints.

Location was excellent, service was phenomenal, room was spectacular, the house is breathtaking and the coziness of the home is something money can’t buy I LOVED my stay. Thank you so much for opening your beautiful home to me and making me feel like at home away from home.

The only thing I didn’t like… was not hearing about this place sooner. I travel to Christchurch four times a year and I wish I had known about this inviting home soon.

"Mixed feeling about this place."

•The room was warm and comfortable •Kitchen well stocked •Clean and tidy

•The location wasn't in the city center.. at least a 40 min walk. •The shower was very low down (I'm 5'9 and the shower head reached my chin), water pressure was really low and hard to get a good temperature. •Didn't see any staff the whole time I was there. •Walls were very thin, kept awake by neighboring room talking/snoring.
