The AC worked well, the bed was comfortable and the apartment was as spacious as seen in photos.

Unfortunately, I should’ve paid attention to reviews here and on Google. This place is not worth the money. I was not given a link to “check in” before arrival and when arriving, I had to stand outside, scanning my passport and submitting my info while on the street in order to get the details to get in. After getting in the front door, I tried the passcode to get into the room and it was wrong; after trying a few times (as you expect you get the right code), I was locked out. I messaged again, and they gave me another code. Which I could only try after the system reset. It took about an hour for me to finally be able to get in and settle. As mentioned in previous posts, the street is LOUD (there are a few clubs beneath it) and at times, you feel like you’re actually in the club while in bed, until about 5am where it dies down. The shower also does not get hot, it’s a lukewarm at most. All in all, this was supposed to be a respite from my long travels, and turns out, I was better off staying in a hostel.

I loved the place and location. Everyone was exceptionally nice

The apartment is indeed located in the old neighborhood of Panama City, which is very touristy and beautiful. I decided to take it, in spite of many reviews mentioning noise at night. Because I generally fall asleep easily. But actually the noise was a lot milder than I feared, and I feel like it may have been possible for even lighter sleepers than myself to sleep there comfortably without any earplugs. The place is beautiful, it looks just like the pictures, it's well equipped. Though I must admit, the stove is not very intuitive. You have to first push the button to unlock the keys before starting to use it, so it took me a while to figure that out. One more teeny tiny thing that was missing is a dish sponge, which I asked the owners to provide, but I asked it in the last minute and I was already checking out. They never got around to giving it to me, simply because we didn't have time. But it's not their fault. Water pressure in the shower is good. Kitchen is well equipped with an electric kettle and various pots for cooking. Overall it was great.

Well, I decided to give the place an overall rating of 7 out of 10, even though probably it would also be fair to give them an 8 or a 9. Mostly, I decided to give a slightly lower rating because of the false advertising on Booking.com. It says that the place is 66 square meters, and it definitely isn't. So, false advertising does leave me with a slightly bad taste, though overall the people were very friendly, the staff was good, the online service was good. And one more thing that I didn't quite enjoy was that the floor-to-ceiling windows all face basically the whole hotel corridor and other apartments. So, when the windows are open, there is no privacy in the apartment, which is okay for the daytime hours if I'm sitting at my laptop and working or cooking, but it would have been nice to have a bit more privacy. Not necessarily a great view, but just maybe windows that aren't facing other apartments in the building. But I suppose I get what I paid for. It's reasonably priced.

The room was next to a bar with really loud music. I needes to sleep with AirPods They room was for 6 people with a sofá that was extremely umcomfortable

Plumbing in the bathroom in need of attention. Noisy neighbohood until 4AM. Earplugs provided !!! Building door is not secured

The apartment we stayed in is excellent! The building, terrace, kitchen, - everything is excellent and beyond expectations. Also, it is very close to all places of interest in Casco Viejo, its restaurants with delicious food and elegant coffee houses.

However, my stay was terrible because of the loud music very close in the neighborhood. A bar nearby played music through 4:00am. I understand, this is NOT La Moderna's fault, BUT, in my opinion, loud music has to be mentioned somewhere on La Moderna site. If you are a bar and a late entertainment person, THIS IS THE PLACE for you. If not, I do not recommend this place.

I booked 2 nights in this place and then added two extra, choosing the same type of room. I asked the place to keep the reservations within the same room, to not be forced to move to a different one, yet this is what happened. Very inconvenient, as I had to leave one room at 11, and be able to check in to the other at 1pm. They also moved me to an insanely noisy, worse standard and Wi-Fi not working well. The flexibility and customer centric approach non existent in this place. Also, as it’s close to bars and restaurant, you won’t sleep there without ear plugs and even with them it’s veeeeery difficult.
