Palheiro Mar by Olá Madeira

Eine sehr besondere Unterkunft in direkter Nachbarschaft zum Meer, das man sogar rauschen hört. Die Ausstattung ist rudimentär aber in Ordnung, außerdem ist es sauber.

Wie in anderen Bewertungen schon beschrieben ist es relativ dunkel und ziemlich hellhörig. Worauf wir hinweisen möchten ist, dass bauartbedingt sehr viel Getier: Kakerlaken, Würmer, Spinnen und Tausendfüssler unter anderem in der Dusche anzutreffen sind. Das sollte man unserer Meinung nach wissen bevor man die Unterkunft bucht.

Lage, Privatsphäre, Design des alten Steinhauses, das liebevoll renoviert wurde Es gab Strandtücheer und einen Sonnenschirm die hilfreich waren.

Es war vor allem abends sehr heiß, trotz geschlossener alldem untertags. Wenig natürliches Licht, aber ganz gut ausgeleuchtet.

Dark at times inside making it hard to find things (everything I have is black lol). Could have done with a lounger to relax on in shared area.

This was most depressing apartment I've ever booked. There were only two very small windows which were blocked by huge building standing nearby. There was a complete darkness 24h/day, even during full sunlight and all windows/doors opened. We had to have lights turned on all day and even then we had problems with operating inside the cottage. This 4 days was a really depressing experience. Don't be misled by photos attached by the owner, reality is much, much darker. I'm attaching a real photo of my backpack in full day, with windows and doors opened and lights turned on. This meant to be our sunny vacation which it was - but on the other hand we felt like living in a basement or a cave with no access to the sun and outer beauty. Next, there was no view on the sea, mountains or garden - declaration of the owner was a complete lie. You can easily check that via maps - there is a huge building between the cottage and the sea and there are no windows on the mountain side. Photos attached. Next, equipment in the cottage was very neglected. Electric kettle was broken, toaster burned bread on all settings, pots and pans were completely scratched (photo attached), roller blind was not working. Lighting was poor/unsufficient, I'm attaching how the kitchen was lightened. Water in the shower was hot for approximately 2 minutes, after that it was cold - in our case first person had very quick shower and second had to accept cold water. Bathroom was extremely small. There was no closet or drawer in whole cottage, so all our stuff was scattered everywhere. It felt like the owner invested minimum amount to start renting, without paying attention to any comfort of the guests. I've contacted owner to inform that there was no view on the sea/mountains (which was declared in the offer) and that cottage was neglected, asked if he wish to compensate for that. In response, the owner was very unpleasant, arrogant and refused to take any responsibility.

L’emplacement est idéal, la nuit on est bercé par le bruit des vagues c’est vraiment très apaisant. L’hôte est d’une très grande gentillesse, nous avons passé un bon séjour

Very kind owners, greeted us and showed around, gave some tips about restaurants and things to see.

Charming house on the coast, you can hear the waves crashing all night long. Very therapeutic. Interior is charming with a modern twist.

A few little additions would make this place perfect.
