Nice comfortable home for our stay. Close to everything we needed we will stay there again in the future.

Location was great, facilities great and dexor lovely. Very clean.

A bit cold as heating had not been on but easily fixed!

Excellent location, east walj distance to shops & beach. The cleanliness was of a high standard, plenty of kitchen equipment, bedding, towels etc was great. Shower worked well. The bedrooms were a good size.

The bathroom light and extractor did not work and we were unaware of the steep staircase to the bedrooms, bathroom and toilet. This was a bit difficult for us as older people.

The owner who I needed to speak to was polite and understanding

There were several issues at the property. My complaint is not with the owner but with booking.com. As instructed by the owner I contacted Booking.com during our stay. I emailed them As i had heard nothing back on my return i decided to call. The person at the other end of the phone went through the usual security. I said that the owner had agreed that due to the issues we had had. She was happy to give me a partial refund When i explained this the person said in order for any “cancellation “ it should have been made whilst in the property. I explained that I had contacted them and he confirmed some of this issues. Proving I had contacted them. The person then went on to say that as a one off gesture he would refund some money but in order to do that i had to pay an additional £180. (Already having paid over £700) I asked to speak to a manager and the phone was hung up. I called again only to speak to a different person who said I had missed my one and only chance of a refund. The advertisement of the property is false. It says the property has air con and a spa bath. The property had neither A hoover would have been helpful but the owner advised not to worry about any mess The dishwasher didnt work nor did the bathroom light and the smoke detector went off every 10mins. Presumably needed replacing or a new battery. The owner did her best to sort the issues and was very understanding. I took my 83 year old mother so no bathroom light was a hazard. We all have dishwashers at home. The dishwasher helped us in choosing the property. My call to booking.com was merely to confirm what the owner had agreed The two people i spoke to were rude and to be quite frank did not care at all about our disappointment in the property. I am now left hanging waiting for booking.com to pay the owner so that I can get a refund. I will have to wait a few weeks plus i have been advised they usually pay late - thereby hanging on to the owners money. I

This house on paper should be ok, but in reality it needs a lot of doing up...windows inside and out filthy, bathroom light not working, the outside seating area awful, filthy chairs, needs time spent on it, full of cobwebs no kerb appeal at all, parking is an advantage but no bigger than a Yaris would fit. Little things need doing...not a hard job Not worth the money at all we will definitely not be back.

Poor vehicular access Owner failed to respond to my phone call and voice mail regarding the access difficulty we were experiencing until 4½ hours later The house was dingy and grubby The property was run down - the living room curtain pole was too short and insecure, it fell down when opening/closing the curtains Draw cords on the venetian blinds were tangled and knotted and gave the impression they were about to break The toilet seat was damaged and unhygienic The electric shower ceased to work the evening before we departed Several of the facilities listed in the advertisement were non existent, including: air conditioning, spa bath, toiletries, bathrobe There were stained carpets and chairs All seats in the living room were uncomfortable and the leg of one chair was broken The patio gate was insecure and the patio furniture was filthy. The patio itself was overgrown The dish draining rack in the kitchen was dirty and rusty and the textured tiles on the worktops were dirty and unhygienic The bed was large but uncomfortable because the mattress appeared to have a join running down the centre

the property was in a convenient location.It was clean and fairly well equipped.

The property is advertised as having air conditioning and a hot tub .It has neither. in our view this is misrepresentation.We have contacted both Turnstone Retreat and Booking .comregarding these issues and so far have received no response
