Tigh N Eilean Self Catering Aberfeldy

Lovely greeting from the owner who gave us the keys and showed us around.

Double bed in our room was well used and uncomfortable. Not the worst but could be much better

The house was very clean, warm and comfortable. There was plenty of space for a big family group with comfortable shared areas and bedrooms all with ensuites. Everything you needed was in the house - even a slow cooker which was very welcome as we had an easy hot meal to come back to after a day's walking. A very easy walk into Aberfeldy and well situated for getting out and about to other places. A lovely house.

It was all great, but a slightly bigger bed would have been lovely and decor was a little dated, but it is a really good house.

Excellent facilities. Perfect location- close to the town centre. Very quiet so a couple of good nights sleep was had by all. Owner was attentive and quick to reply to any queries. Welcome pack was full of delicious treats!

Tigh ‘n’ Eilean is a beautiful traditional large house, it’s beautifully furnished and is extremely well equipped with practically everything you could think of, We required a cot and a high chair and that was no problem at all. All the rooms are spacious and the 4 double bedrooms are all en suite which I really liked. We were having a family holiday and it was just perfect for all of us, The host Fred met us at the property, he was very welcoming, he showed us round the house and explained how to use the fire and the cooker etc. The house is situated in a very nice area of Aberfeldy and only a 4-5 minute walk into the town centre where you will find plenty shops, cafe, restaurants, takeaways and pubs. There is a front and back garden at the property, both were very well manicured with plenty of lovely flowering plants in the borders. All in all it’s a great place to spend some time away …. a home from home.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like, it’s a great house.

We visited Aberfeldy for a wedding and Tigh N Eilean was within walking distance of the venue as well all the Aberfeldy pubs and restaurants. The house itself is grand, with a lovely decor. All bedrooms had comfy beds and an en-suite. The dining room was large enough to seat 8. The kitchen is well-equipped and we used it for a few home cooked meals. The garden is lovely and just in front of the property there is a riverside walk. The Birks were also within walking distance. Fred was incredibly helpful but also discrete. We had a lovely stay!

The place was perfect 👌 Plenty of space, clean ... we had everything we needed. It's probably the best place we've ever stayed it!

Absolutely nothing!

We liked absolutely everything about the house. The welcome was very friendly. Help was always on hand but privacy maintained. The facilities were excellent, cleanliness first class and comfort wonderful. Beds were excellent and rooms large & comfortable, each with ensuite facilities including one with a jacuzzi! The house is directly on a bus route, if required, and there is a short walk to the centre of town. For our walking days on The Rob Roy Trail it was an excellent base which we have no hesitation in recommending.

The property was absolutely stunning — it felt like we’d stepped into a beautiful manor house. It was clear that the home had been lovingly cared for over the years. The rooms were filled with beautiful paintings, ornaments, and soft furnishings, all thoughtfully collected to create a warm and elegant atmosphere. The beds were exceptionally comfortable — so much so, it was hard to leave them to start our walk the next morning! Everything we needed was provided, from tea and coffee to washing powder. As an added bonus, the house included a washing machine, tumble dryer, and dishwasher, which made our stay even more convenient.
