No8 College Gate Windermere

Good location in a nice little town.  It's a short walk to pubs, restaurants, and supermarket.  There's pub across the road but we weren't disturbed by noise. It's not huge but was comfortable enough for our family of four for two nights. The kitchen had a few basic supplies like tea, sugar, instant coffee, and a few herbs/spices.   The balcony has a nice view over the houses and hills behind the town.

As some people have mentioned the parking is pretty tight.  The mid-size SUV we hired barely fit. The bedrooms could use better curtains.  The windows face east and let a lot of light in, so our kids were up early each morning. Some oil in the kitchen would be nice, and individually-packed sugar/ coffee etc would prevent the dark stains and clumping in the sugar and coffee.

Unfortunately the apartment was not to the standard of the description, it is very dated and requires some improvements. Carpets are worn, vey thin, dusty when sat on the carpets, radiators do not work within the two bedrooms, shower has no pressure and is so small, not enough towels provided for x4 people for 3 night stay. Kitchen cupboards broken and did not close with basic utensils to cook even breakfast. Missing curtain on the windows to the balcony, only one hung, Poor maintained leather sofas.

The apparent was clean and had a lovely view outside, just a short walk and you had everything you needed, pubs cafe's shops, .

Sadly no dvd not that it was a big thing but with all the dvds in the cupboard was a shame. The coffee in the container was rock solid been unused for a while so we didn't trust using the tea and sugar either. Cupboard things like oil, sauce both needed throwing out .
