Excellent quiet location. Spotlessly clean, excellent kitchen equipment and facilities, very comfortable bed. Directions to the property from Paolo were very clear and helpful, and communication with him was dealt with promptly.

Not a dislike, but the bedroom was very cramped. The bed was very comfortable, and the bedroom size would not put us off staying again

The location is excellent! You can easily walk to the centre of Bergen and you are very close to the bus stop and supermarket. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious. The open plan kitchen/living space is very large and comfortable with a comfortable sofa. The owner provides access to netflix for guests, which is very generous and handy, and we appreciated this.

The bed is extremely uncomfortable, and we both slept badly every single night of our stay, sadly. The pillows are poor, on both the bed and sofa, and could do with upgrading. The bathroom has limited lighting and can be very dark. The switch for the bathroom is far away, but we understand that the layout is restricted because it used to be an old bakery. Prior to our arrival, the owner contacted us to provide information and informed us about a recent burglary in his flat. We felt, especially at night, being on the ground floor and the fact that the main gate into the property is never locked, quite unsafe and uneasy. We were also informed that we were not allowed to use the fireplace because a previous guest had broken it. One of the main reasons we booked this property is for the cosy fireplace, so we were disappointed to hear this, and we were only informed the day before our arrival.

Lovely, comfortable apartment with lots of character. Excellent facilities, even tea, coffee, salt, sugar and spices plus other ingredients for cooking in the kitchen. Perfect location for exploring Bergen. Host was really attentive and helpful.

Ease of entry. Nice layout of apartment.

Couldn’t access Netflix or HBO. Needed to contact the owner as simply not available. Eventually got there but I was fed up by the back and forward to connect. Expected crisp fresh smelling linen and towels but not the case. The fitted sheet didn’t fit, all stretched. Only a green tea or similar and no milk, not even UHT. None of the finishing touches. For the price was very disappointed.

The Old Bakery is an absolutely great place to stay, especially if you have a little rain in Bergen. You can allways return to a spot that feels like home. The location is near to Bryggen and Fløybanen. Paolo is allways there when you need him. I can definitively recommend that accommodation.

It was a very nice little flat in a very beautiful location. A supermarket was close by and some of the main visitor attractions in Bergen.

I booked a self catering accommodation and ended up in a Airbnb like accommodation. It was the owners flat which he rented out when he was himself on a long vacation. That made me feel like someone who entered the privacy of a stranger and made me feel uncomfortable during my stay. I would have liked it to be more neutral .
