Ave del Paraiso Guest House

Everyone working there was incredibly kind, trusting, helpful and accommodating. I had asked for a late checkout because I was flying out on a red eye, and they let me check "out any time I wanted" with no extra charge! They were incredibly generous to do this for me. The location is fantastic - right in the middle of everything you could want, and also quiet at night. I felt incredibly safe in the area and in the Ave del Paraiso Guest House. (Antigua is very safe in general).

The room does not provide privacy if you are sharing it with someone. I stayed alone, so it was ok. But there is a thin, plastic wall that does not go up to the ceiling dividing the bathroom area from the bedroom area. **If you do not mind going to the bathroom in front of the person you'll be sharing a room with, this will not be an issue for you.** The room door was secure and I felt completely safe in there, but there were gaps in the door that let in sound and light.

Wonderful hosts, great location. Room was small but efficient. Good quality mattress.

It’s a room in someone house. Not fancy. Very basic Next store to the cooking school. Owners is helpful .do not bring your girl friend here. , she may not like it No breakfast

Water was barely warm. Bedding was subpar. Windowless room, so very dark. No place to hang clothes, no chest of drawers. The room is too small and cramped for two. It should be a one bed room with a set of drawers and/or closet.

We enjoyed our 3 day stay exploring Antigua and staying at Ave Del Paraiso. The location is ideal- close to El Arco de Santa Catalina and wonderful restaurants. The bed was comfortable and the room decorated very cute. The hosts were wonderful to communicate with and became friends!

We had a fantastic stay! The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to downtown and close to the iconic Arco de Santa Catalina and the Parque Central. The accommodation was very comfortable, and everything we needed was easily accessible. Highly recommend this spot for anyone wanting to experience the charm of Antigua!
