SSH Ikseon peter cat Hostel

I really liked staying in this hostel. It's the second time, first time was only two nights, this time I stayed a bit longer. The staff are so friendly, they help whenever you have a question. The room is bright, the big window brings in a lot of light which makes the space okay. Most of the room gets taking in by a doublebed, but since I travelled alone it was the perfect size. There's a free laundry machine and a dryer. The location is perfect, ideal walking distance to Ikseong hanok village, also close to two metro lines, one is 5 minutes away, the other 15-ish minutes. There's also 3 convenience stores, one less then a minute away, other two less than 5 minute walk. I loved it and will stay here again in the future!

Easy to check in, friendly staff, great TV, enough space, a table and chairs, and most importantly a window. It was nice to stay. Great common area. If there is place on my next trip, I will definitely choose here again.

I thought it was cool that the hotel was walking distance to the `Palace and in the heart of Euljiro, which is a very cool and hip hang out spot for locals that is attracting more western tourists as well.

I don’t feel this hotel justifies its price tag for several reasons. First, the location is inconvenient for sightseeing. It’s far from 90% of Seoul’s main attractions, which added significant commute time to my day and made planning difficult. Second, catching an Uber or taxi was a hassle. Because the area is so heavily congested, drivers frequently got stuck in traffic, leading to long wait times unless it was very late at night. Third, the room layout was disappointing for the price. I booked a 'Super Double' (the tier just below the deluxe suite) and expected a separate shower and toilet area. Instead, showering completely flooded the bathroom, meaning I couldn't use the only mirror in the room or the toilet without getting my feet wet again. Overall, this hotel might work if you've been to Seoul before and know your way around, but I wouldn't recommend it for first-time visitors.
