Wonderforest 2 Bedroom Tiny house Ruapehu Unique Stays

The location amongst the established native trees was terrific. We also loved the idea of the tiny house, the design and outdoor space.

The weather was poor during our stay with constant heavy rain. This exposed several issues with the accommodation that impacted our experience. Firstly, the diesel heating system was not suitable. The place filled up with fumes, and we had to shut it down and air out the tiny house. Secondly, there was a lot of condensation. Yes, it was very wet but newer builds, regardless of whether they are tiny houses or not, should prevent excessive build up of condensation. Third, we lost power in the morning and so left the property without having a warm shower. I'm sure our experience would have been different in warmer weather.

Loved this tiny house Everything was thought of, beautiful lil home with 2 double beds and everything you could need Was super clean and fresh, very private and quiet location was stunning Hosts gave very clear and detailed instructions on everything you may have a question for which just made things easy

Just wish there was some more heating, especially in the bathroom, it was very very cold to shower at any time as there is no heating system for the bathroom Was alot of Condensation as ir was so cold outside. Could definitely benefit from some kind of dehumidifier so help

Eco friendly

A hassle getting out of the car to open and shut the gate with a lock code especially when it’s 3 degrees and Poorly lit. The driveway was also very dark and narrow - challenging to reverse down.

Secluded and bush setting

Amazing location - among beautiful trees. Quiet, peaceful and secluded. The host James went above and beyond for us, sending on stuff we left behind, refusing to be reimbursed ❤️

Great little cabin, highly recommend it if you are passing thru or staying for a nature exploration in the area. Cozy and well organized cabin.
