The location was good, walking distance from the beach and village

It was dirty, the floors were black The linen was itchy

Location was good.

Rented 2 units for family of six. One unit was functional (915), the other was not (917). It was insufficiently stocked. Substandard shower equipment, lighting, towels etc. The unit smelled strongly of chemicals to the point where we could not comfortably spend leisure time in either unit. One of the twin beds had a large brown discoloration, as though it was not properly cleaned. All of the garbage cans were on the counters and tables. Toilet paper was low and one of the rolls was completely unusable, looking stained with a liquid brown substance. The main shower head was broken, water squirted all around the sides. The smaller bathroom had a light that flickered on and off continuously, so you could not use the shower. The shower had a slimy substance on the ground and when rinsed, bubbled up when water hit it. When we contacted the property manager after discovering multiple issues, with a clear message of our concerns, it was not addressed promptly nor sufficiently. They eventually provided the missing towels and toilet paper to the unit, more than 24 hours after our arrival. However, they entered the unit without notice. Luckily, we had rented a 2nd unit so we were able to shower. We would absolutely not recommend these vacation homes. Attached are a couple examples of the many issues we had.

Being able to walk into the village. The accommodation had a picnic bench outside and had lovely breakfasts outside in the sun.

Expected double bed but was two single beds pushed together instead

Met expectations. Placed us in the middle of places we wanted to visit.

Weather was not cooperative

The apartment was left open and the keys were on the table. Towels were available along with an iron

The apartment was very basic and not clean. It was tired and quite tatty. The drain smell was horrendous for the first 3 days. The hotel on site was full of Ukrainian refugees. That was ok but it was a waste of what looked like a nice hotel from outside. Many of the Kilkee shops and restaurant/bars only open for 3 or 4 days a week

We stayed in 903. The location is good, an hour or two drive to most tourist sites. Quiet and peaceful area. Utilities are great washer,dryer and cooker. Very spacious.

Decor very dated, kitchen is the only updated part of home all new appliances. Internal doors and bathrooms could do with being replaced/upgraded. Bathroom fixtures and fittings functioning but very dated. Plumbing needs to be looked at as cold tap runs boiling water not cold in main bathroom. Pvc windows and doors could do with upgrading also. Television upgrade to chromecast one would be a good addition to allow streaming of netflix or other apps from devices.
