Hotel Samrat Residency Luxury at Nizamuddin Railway Station

the hotel was great located in Nizamuddin and the room was nice.

Linen was not cleaned, no window in the room.

Only linen cleanliness would make hotel better

The location was close to a station and also near Humayun's tomb. Quite a residential area and nice experiencing the local market there.

The room was ok and could have been cleaner. The staff werent very hospitable either but asked to provide a good review. They arranged my airport pick up but the person they contacted overcharged me for for the airport parking. One of the receptionist during holi also kept asking if I could buy them food or drinks which was a bit annoying after a while.

Do not book this hotel! It has good reviews but I’m sure they were bought because there is no way it deserves such a rating. The receptionist was trying to be helpful in the beginning advising about taxis to get there, but then things got much worse. The room we were given had dirty sheets with stains and hair, we complained and were sent to a different one. The sheets seemed cleaner, but the state of the room was bad. The bathroom was dirty, with one door from the cupboard missing and full of dust, cigarettes behind the sink, and toilet not maintained well. Late at night we noticed the first cockroach, we should’ve complained then or looked more closely but were tired and went to sleep. We left the room early and were out the whole day, when we came back we found almost 10 cockroaches of different sizes. We complained to the receptionist requesting a refund because we decided to move to a different hotel, but he said that he can only offer a different room and said that all hotels in Delhi are like this. If you can afford it, consider spending more to avoid such an experience.

Most of the staff didn't speak or understand English, which made the communication quite hard.
