Lazy Bear Cabin near Nantahala Outdoor Center and Bryson City

The location and it was very quiet

The beds were a little hard

No coffee. Very dated appliances. No porch or deck.

The property is in great location and was quite and peaceful. Had the basic necessities and was better than staying in a hotel. The cabin very peaceful and has a lot of potential.

The cabin wasn't ready for our arrival it was still dirty from the last guest. We did book later that day of our arrival, but after driving the six hours it was frustrating. The owner and the management company sent somebody over and the situation was fixed and cleaning fee returned, which was nice. The hot water for the sinks was like it should be but the showers never got above Luke warm. After hiking on a cold day it would have been nice to have a hot shower. The hot water on the sinks would scald you in matter of seconds. It was weird about the shower never got hot. One of the couches could use replaced thought it might give way when I sat on it. I am 6'2 and wasn't really comfortable, there wasn't a way to relax and lean back. The couch had a short back that hit mid spine. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom was shaky and loose, the extra space heaters were nice, but you had to make sure they were on sperate wall outlets or the breaker would trip. And Please restore a smoke detector soon.

Beds were very comfy and the couches were super comfy too. Such a homey feel and such a nice place to stay!
