Marikos House, Pyrgaki Alyko Naxos

Kleines nettes Häuschen etwas oberhalb von Pirgáki mit Blick über sanfte Hügel aufs Meer, Alikó und Paros. Man kann tolle Sonnenuntergänge auf der riesigen überdachten Terrasse erleben. Dazu leises Glockenläuten der Schafe und Ziegen auf den weiterer entfernten Weiden genießen. Ein wirklich magischer Ort zum Herunterkommen. Das Häuschen ist zweckmässig, nett und modern eingerichtet. Die Betten und Kissen sind sehr bequem. Die benachbarten Ziegen schauen einem interessiert beim Kochen oder Frühstücken zu, ab und zu kommt eine Katze vorbei. Es gibt noch Hunde und Hühner in der Nachbarschaft. Aber alle Tiere sind ziemlich gechillt und stören überhaupt nicht (inkl. Hahn). Es gibt einen kleinen Garten mit frischen Kräutern und einen tollen Aussichtspunkt zum Frühstücken zu zweit oder zu romantischen Sternenbeobachtungen.

Leider sind die Zimmer recht klein, vor allem das Badezimmer. Entsprechend wenig Platz gibt es auch in den Schränken. Es ist halt nur ein kleines Häuschen mit einer riesigen überdachten Terasse. Wenn man das weiss ist es OK. Der Weg zum Haus ist unbefestigt und steinig. Insgesamt ist die Gegend um Alikó und Pirgáki sehr einsam und es ist wenig los. Es gibt zwar einige Restaurant und Bars. Wer mehr sucht als einsame, naturbelassene Strände, schläfrige Bars und Restaurants muss fahren. Für Naturliebhaber und Menschen die Einsamkeit und Langsamkeit schätzen hingegen das Paradies.

Thoughtfully Designed and Immaculately Maintained. Peaceful, Stunning Views, Adjacent to Stunning Beaches and Authentic Taverna’s. The only thing nicer than the home itself were its lovely owners - truly exceptional hosts! Bottom Line: Marikos House feels like GREECE…it’s the real deal. We will be back!

That we only booked 6 nights rather than 6 weeks. Hated to leave.

Mariko's house is located in paradise. The hosts are amazing. The architectural details are phenomenal--the veranda is an incredible place for watching scenery, enjoying Naxos breezes, taking naps, eating, just relaxing (for instance, you will get the best sleep of your life, you will be surrounded by flowers and pastures with views of the sea, the sunset, other islands, sheep ,goats are your ONLY neighbors). You will instantly feel welcome by true Naxian hospitality. We have been going to Naxos for 15 years and this was our first time here--it compares to the BEST in Greece

I loved everything

What I liked the most is the outdoor patio with barbeque, dining area and sofas. In front of the sunset that we enjoyed almost every night

We liked everything. Some may not like the fact that the house is in the middle of the countryside, isolated from all the attractions, supermarkets and shops. The machine, therefore, is absolutely necessary. However, it was not a problem for us, in fact we appreciated the tranquillity.
