The hut is so beautiful, cosy and relaxing. The decor is exceptional. The views are amazing. The stove makes the hut super warm and snug. The bed and pillows are so comfortable. The little windows hold such beautiful views. The walk around the hills over the fence is gorgeous. The towels are so soft and fluffy. Could maybe do with new bathrobes. Plenty of lights, and plug outlets. The shower is lovely. All the utensils provided that you'd need. The hut has been designed perfectly with everything you need for a perfect overnight stay.

We stayed in the hut in 2023. It was the perfect getaway for our wedding anniversary. It was a treat to be in such a tranquil location with total privacy, a single hut surrounded by beautiful scenery. Since our last stay, there is a new second hut, which understandably will have huge demand, but for us we didn't feel that same sense of privacy and isolation which we enjoyed before. Due to clever placement, you cannot see one hut from the other as the new hut is downhill in comparison to the black hut being higher up ground, but I do feel it takes slightly from the experience. There was also a digger working beside us yesterday so we had some noise and again didnt feel that same sense of relaxation and privacy as it would have been on our first visit. Our biggest disappointment was the new hottub. We loved the hottub last time, it was like a hot bath and on a cold October evening we sat out for ages. The new electric hottub was not warm enough yesterday evening to sit in comfortably for any amount of time, after 10 minutes I had to get out of the luke-warm water and go inside. We had been so looking forward to relaxing in the hottub. Finally, on our previous visit we were greeted by a bottle of bubbly, with milk/butter in the fridge, this time there were none of the above, luckily we brought our own. The hut and it's surrounding views are amazing, it's a beautiful escape, we would just hope any extra huts or other changes doesn't spoil that special spark the place would have had before.

We loved our stay here! We had such a lovely weekend. The Black Hut is beautiful inside & out along with the stunning views. Rawdon & Catherine provided us with all the info we needed and we had a very relaxing stay.

I loved how out of the way it was and that it was so cosy and comfy. Everything was so clean and fresh.

I would say maybe having more games available or even a tv. As the weather got so terrible we couldn’t spend much time in the hottub so maybe something like that would help fill time for people that maybe haven’t prepared for that.

Amazing experience, my partner and I were celebrating our 10 year anniversary. It was magical, the location is very private and it feels like your own. Such a cozy feeling. The host is super nice as well. Great experience and will be back.
