The services provided by our host was really great. In addition the lady that provided our breakfast wanted us to try the banana pancakes and was excited that we enjoyed them. The location of the accommodation is about 2 km off the city centre making it a quiet place for relaxation and the pool was great. For dining out the location is perhaps less convenient as getting grabs is inconsistently available.

Our room could have been cleaner but it didn’t affect our stay too much. We had an unfortunate cockroach lying on its back under the bed when we arrived late at night. In addition our white clothing got ink stains after we received it back from laundry. We knew and accepted the risk, it was a bummer nonetheless.

This place is fab, highly recommend. Beautiful location. Hotel clean and comfortable. The host was absolutely fab. So helpful. Bike rental on offer was a great plus too.

It was a gorgeous property. Location is great, just out of the town but close to attractions like Buffalo Cave. Easy to reach town by a grab or bike. Gorgeous pond outside of property. Family was lovely, and so was the staff! Dora was amazing, provided an excellent personalized map that helped us plan our small stay in Ninh Binh. His English is fantastic and he has a great personality - he also made one of our breakfasts free one morning which was great. They have great connections to good tours which allow for you to see the best of Ninh Binh. The room was fantastic as well, huge bed! The pool is clean and well looked after, and there is a pool table for communal use upstairs. Not to mention, very cute dog and cat here as well. This stay was a highlight of our trip, we love sharing it with everyone back home. Thank you Dora!

Could not find the light in the shower near the pool, and door did not lock.

This is a good value for money option a short bike ride or Grab from the main part of Tam Coc. Dora (I believe he is the manager or one of the managers) is very friendly and helpful, and communicative over WhatsApp which I appreciated. My room/s were large and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The pool is great to cool down in and the air conditioning is nice and strong after a big day touring Ninh Binh in the heat. You can hire bikes to get into town or a Grab takes a few minutes (you can also walk but it was pretty hot when I was there). While the breakfast is a bit basic, it’s fresh and the coffee is strong, and there are enough options to fuel you for the morning. The whole places feels safe and serene, almost like a budget version of a fancy beach resort.

The only real downside was when I checked in, I was given a room with a bathroom that smelled very badly of damp/mould. The room itself also smelled bad and there were spots on the curtains. I went back and asked the woman who checked me in if I could move rooms and she immediately showed me to another room, which was just as big but smelled completely fresh and clean, so it was all sorted out quickly. However, it irked me that the room was even given to me in the first place as it wasn’t habitable. I did speak to Dora about this when I checked out and he was apologetic and said it would be fixed. Ninh Binh is obviously a very humid place and I think there maybe was just not enough ventilation in that room, or maybe a water leak? Cleanliness otherwise wasn’t an issue. It’s not a very social place so if you are looking for that (I wasn’t) this isn’t for you. I also found the aircon to be a little strong and I should have asked for help with this or asked for a blanket (my fault). In the end I just turned it to fan mode to go to sleep. If you have kids, be mindful that the hot tap in the bathroom can be very hot. Some more shade in the pool area would be good.

The best place we’ve stayed while travelling (6 months). The staff went above and beyond for us and the rooms were great, very comfy and hugeeee bed. The hosts dog Su was so sweet and always greeted us on arrival. Dora was amazing , he made us feel so welcome and even took some nice pictures of us with Su. We would definitely come back!
