Memory Lane - beautifully renovated house close to motorway networks

Close to the motorway and convenient for our travels. Good sized living, kitchen and bathroom spaces if you have a family. Easy parking out the front.

Unfortunately everything in the kitchen was quite dirty. We tried to use cooking facilities to self cater and found we needed to wash everything first. Provided cleaning cloths felt dirty themselves, and the only tea towel we could find was damp. Beds quite hard and could feel every spring, didn’t sleep well.

The house is lovely, spacious and very clean. The host was really great, Communication was easy and she was really helpful. Would definitely recommend this house, its well connected, great location and free parking on street. Would definitely book again.

Location

Not clean, wardrobe full of linen not leaving room for our clothes, we have to move them out. Mirrors steamed. Floor sticky. Carpet on stairs had better days.

L'emplacement du logement est parfait pour un arrêt sur la route, car proche de l'autoroute. Le village est calme et paisible. Il y a une supérette et une station essence, ce dont on a besoin en voyage.

We were supposed to have stayed on the 20th of April for 1 night. We arrived at the property around 3 pm, and we couldn't gain access. We followed the information that was provided and we tried to contact the property owner and they were not picking up. There was 5 adults and a 4 month old baby. We were left stranded and we had nowhere to sleep. Worst experience ever. We then sent an email and text messages, the owner then responded and told is that the house was not cleaned

The owner did not tell us that they had cancelled and we travelled all the way only to find out we had nowhere to stay.

Spacious house

We were three colleagues travelling together and disappointingly the bedding in one of the rooms had stains all over it. There wasn’t any extra bedding in the room so I had to sleep in a bed that was super gross to be in. There was also a weird mechanical noise coming from the walls that woke us up in the morning. Not sure if that was the water pump, but it was super irritating. I was offered a discount to make up for the gross bedding, but that never materialised and my messages are not being responded to any longer. So sadly I wouldn’t recommend staying here - unless you don’t mind sleeping in gross bedding.

Plenty if street parking. Communication with host was good and he allowed us to get in a little earlier.

Although the bedrooms were clean and beds changed the rest of the house wasn’t very clean. There was lots of debris on the floor in the conservatory, maybe from bugs or something, hairs in bath etc. The toilet is v wobbly. The bins in the garden were v full and the wind had blown rubbish all over the garden so we had to chase the dogs around to stop them eating it. We had to run out and buy a toilet roll, sugar and coffee in the morning.

Lovely place and was clean and tidy. Wasn’t in shevington though.
