they were very helpful. we talked on the whatsapp beforehand about our stay, and we were allowed a late checkout as well as a early check in (payment required). the room is really tiny and a bit claustrophobic, but it had two little windows that helped. the ac worked fine. overall, i would recommend this location for a short stay

The neighbourhood was very unsafe. The room inside smelt like molt. There was only a very tiny blanket. There were also many constructions happening so the place was a dump. It was so awful that we left.

I stayed at the Spider-Man house with my sister. We were in the Club Mickey Mouse room. The bed was comfortable, the chairs too. It's located between the city center and the airport. There's some convenience stores nearby, and a Lidl about 15-20 minutes walking distance from the place. Everything is within walking distance because Catania is not a big city. Although, the roads outside of the city center aren't really safe for pedestrians but I guess that's how it is in Sicily. The staff was a nice lady, we didn't speak much, she just opened the door and said hi, she gave us the keys and showed us the room, and then left and we didn't see her again until check-out.

I didn't like how the room looks like a prison cell with no windows to the outside, and a toilet in the room without a door to separate the bed/kitchen space with the toilet and shower. So if you're not staying there alone, you'll have to do your bathroom business in the same space as the person who's staying with you. And they can see you. The location wasn't good either, but not too bad because it's close to the center and the Catania Frontanarossa airport. But if you try to walk the 40 minute walk to the airport, it will be a terrifying experience since there's no sidewalks and you pass through an underground tunnel meant for vehicles and along a dumpster area and a road where there are rats crossing it. Besides that, it's also dark, no street lights, so you need your flashlight if you're walking after 6pm. The communication between the host and guests is too little. We arrived there and we didn't even know which part of the building we had to be in. No one said anything. Then someone opened a door (and I got a message too at that time) and let us in and gave us the keys. But for a few minutes we were scared and worried and we thought we got scammed because there were no signs outside to indicate that that's where your booking is for. Its title says "Affitto Breve" but it's misleading and confusing because it should've been called "Spider-Man House" so one can know which doorbell to ring once they get there.
