Rumah Kawan Homestay and Trekking

We had an absolutely amazing stay! From the moment we arrived until we returned from our Rinjani trek, we felt incredibly welcomed and cared for. Agung and his wife was kind, helpful, and always available to answer our questions. They explained everything clearly and made us feel at home right away. They safely stored our luggage and motorbikes while we were on the trek and helped us organize everything we needed. What impressed us the most was the trekking equipment they provided. They lent us hiking shoes, trekking poles, warm clothes, and everything else we needed to be fully prepared. The hiking shoes in particular were a lifesaver during the trek! Thanks to them, we felt confident and ready for the adventure. The room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for resting before and after the trek. The breakfasts were generous and delicious. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. The level of hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail was exceptional. We cannot recommend this place enough and would happily stay here again. Thank you for making our Rinjani experience so special!

We had an incredible stay at Rumah Kawan Homestay. Tina, Agung and their children are absolutely wonderful and made us feel at home from the very beginning. Tina welcomed us as soon as we got out of the taxi, explained everything about the area and showed us the outdoor table with maps and lots of useful information about the surroundings, such a great touch. The breakfast was honestly the best we’ve had in one month travelling around Indonesia. I’m still dreaming about her homemade bread! The room was perfectly clean. Tina was always there to make sure we had everything we needed and paid attention to every little detail. The room doesn’t have air conditioning but the temperatures are very comfortable in Senaru and the hot water in the shower was perfect. She also organised our taxi from our arrival in Lombok making everything stress-free from the start, as well as our laundry which was very convenient during our stay. We didn’t do the trekking but the location is ideal for exploring the surroundings on foot, no scooter needed. There’s also a lovely warung and small convenience shop just across the street run by a very kind lady. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Senaru or planning to do the Mount Rinjani trek.

WiFi wasn’t always reliable for working, although there is a great café nearby for remote work. The room we stayed in was the closest to the road, so it was a bit noisy. The sheets are quite light and it can feel slightly cool during the night.

La gentillesse de ́nos hotes, le rapport qualite prix excellent, point de départ idéal pour les départs de trek au mont Rinjani ou au Crater Rim. ́Nos hotes nous ont organisé de A à Z l'excursion en montagne, c'était parfait.

Lekker ontbijt (pannenkoeken 10/10), schone kamers en een geweldige gastvrouw- en heer!
