We had an amazing time at Villa Marco. The staff went out of their way to make Sabi’s birthday special — they even arranged a lovely birthday setup, which meant a lot to us. Everyone was incredibly warm and personal. Marco and his wife were super friendly and helpful, and Abdel was absolutely amazing — always attentive, kind, and ready to help with anything we needed. The atmosphere felt calm, welcoming and very genuine. We honestly don’t understand some of the negative reviews. Yes, the villa is a little out of town, but that is exactly what we wanted — peace, quiet, privacy and a relaxed, personal experience away from the busy city. For us, it was perfect.

Nothing significant. We came here looking for a quiet, calm and personal place to relax, and that’s exactly what we got. The location suited us perfectly because we wanted to be away from the noise of the city.

The villa is set in a peaceful area around 30 minutes south of Marrakesh and has very nice decor with comfortable beds and a pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast was very tasty and well prepared, and the overall layout of the property feels like it would be a really beautiful place to stay during summer, especially with the swimming pools and air conditioning available. Getting an InDrive taxi was actually straightforward and reasonably priced (150-200 MAD one way to the centre), despite staff advice suggesting taxis would be much more expensive. The rooms themselves were nicely decorated and felt spacious and calm.

The location is quite far from the centre and is inconvenient if you don’t have your own car. We only stayed here because we were visiting Moroccan friends who were driving, and without them it would have been difficult. During winter, the bungalows were very cold and not well insulated, and even with heated air conditioning the rooms, especially the bathrooms, felt uncomfortable. The Wi-Fi in our bungalow was very poor, which is disappointing for the price, and despite reporting it, nothing was done. We also had some maintenance issues, including a jammed door on the first night and a shower head that wasn’t working properly. Unfortunately, the staff were not very responsive, and while they were polite, it felt like service was promised more than it was delivered. It was also disappointing that issues were only addressed after our Moroccan friends intervened. Overall, this place may be lovely in summer for guests with a car, but I wouldn’t recommend it in winter or if you rely on staff responsiveness. Slightly disappointed considering the price we paid.

Nous avons passé un séjour absolument merveilleux à la Villa Marco à Marrakech. Un immense merci aux propriétaires pour leur accueil exceptionnel, ainsi qu’à toute l’équipe pour leur gentillesse, leur disponibilité et leur bienveillance tout au long de notre séjour. La décoration de la chambre, spécialement préparée pour notre lune de miel, était tout simplement magnifique et pleine d’attention, ce qui a rendu ce moment encore plus magique et inoubliable. Nous garderons un très beau souvenir de cette expérience et recommandons vivement cet établissement à tous ceux qui recherchent calme, élégance et accueil chaleureux.

Sajnos nagyon rossz tapasztalatunk volt a Villa Markóban. A szállást rendkívül nehéz volt megtalálni: még egy helyi marokkói ember is alig tudta, hosszú időbe telt, mire odajutottunk. Az út a sivatagon keresztül vezet, heves esőben, megfelelő jelzés nélkül – rendkívül stresszes és veszélyes volt az érkezés. Megérkezéskor derült ki, hogy nincs fűtés, és a klímát érkezésünk előtt nem kapcsolták be, így egy körülbelül 10 fokos, jéghideg szobába léptünk be. Olyan hideg volt, hogy egész éjszaka nem tudtam aludni, jeges volt az ágy is. A személyzet reakciója megdöbbentő volt: kinevettek, és azt mondták, hogy ez nem hideg, nem értették, miért panaszkodom. Egy négycsillagos szállodában ez elfogadhatatlan. Ráadásul három napig egyáltalán nem volt melegvíz, így fürödni sem lehetett. A tulajdonos mindezt egy egyszerű „I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry”-val intézte el, valódi megoldás vagy kompenzáció nélkül. Összességében a szállás nem felel meg a hirdetett színvonalnak, a körülmények kényelmetlenek, a hozzáállás pedig tiszteletlen volt. Semmiképpen nem ajánlom, különösen hűvösebb időszakban. Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience at Villa Marko. The accommodation was extremely difficult to find — even a local Moroccan person had trouble locating it. It took a long time to arrive, as the road leads through the desert with no proper signs, and during heavy rain it was almost impossible to find the place. The arrival was very stressful. When we finally arrived, there was no heating, and the air conditioning had not been turned on in advance, so we entered a freezing cold room, around 10°C. It was so cold that I couldn’t sleep all night — even the bed was icy. The reaction of the local hotel staff was shocking: they laughed at us and said this was not cold, and did not understand why I was complaining. For a four-star hotel, this is completely unacceptable. On top of that, there was no hot water for three days, so showering was not possible at all. The owner’s response …..
