West Wicklow Glamping with Hot Tub

Loved the hot tub. It was really quiet and relaxing. The details of how to get in and all were sent over perfectly clear, and there was no messing.

There were only two towels, with a hot tub, we definitely needed a few extras, same with pillows. We probably could have phoned the owners but would prefer not to! Also could do with mats floor was lethal when we were wet.

On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. The hot tub was a great feature — easy to use and enjoyable — and it was appreciated that wood and firelighters were provided. The outdoor area was also well-maintained and a nice place to relax.

The stay was okay, but there were several issues that need attention. The lockbox was difficult to use, making check-in more stressful than it should be. The bathroom door didn’t fit the frame properly, so it wouldn’t close or lock, which affected privacy. There were also low ceilings in parts of the property with no “mind your head” signs — a potential safety hazard. The room and bed were quite small, and the amenities were very limited. Each guest was only provided with one pillow and one towel, which isn’t really sufficient — two towels per person would be more appropriate. The toilet seat was also loose and should be repaired. Lastly, the lack of on-site parking made things less convenient. Overall, the accommodation felt very basic and could benefit from a few upgrades to improve comfort and guest experience.
