Everything! We had THE BEST time at Ferry House & didn’t want to leave!! Coming from a city & busy work life, the peace was welcoming & loud. The house set up is amazing & practical with a lot of “little touches” that make the stay more enjoyable. The location is & views are stunning. The beds are a delight! We had lazy mornings, fun outdoor afternoons & evenings full of games & good food. (Treated ourselves to a meal at the local pub on our last evening & that was superb too!) The house was perfect for the 6 of us to hang together or have our quiet corners when needed. It was one of my favourite festive periods ever & Ferry House was a massive part of that.

If you're after peace & tranquility this is the place

The house was huge, spacious and the location is to die for - the pictures just don't do this place justice. We spent many hours looking at the water, the boats passing and swimming in the sea. It's in a quiet area thats perfect to unwind but yet so close to everything so you can visit everywhere you want to easily. We had great instructions in advance to find the property and thanks to a Google map investigation I easily found the easier route into the house. We were left to enjoy our stay but could have easily contacted the owners if needs be. I hope we are lucky enough to return one day

Basic cleaning of the usual things had been done but the microwaves and oven are in desperate need of some tlc and the sofa in the conservatory is in need of a professional clean. The only other thing to mention is that the water pressure dips if more than 1 shower was in use a 1 time, making the other unusable but it gave me more time to enjoy the view so definitely not a big problem! For the money, I would expect a higher level of clean and more upkeep (grout missing/mouldy, holes in carpets, smell in fridge) which didn't take off our enjoyment nor would it stop us returning but just being honest

Smell of fumes as you go near back door- likely from boiler? Beds not all that comfortable- very hard mattresses.

We enjoyed the large rooms, tall ceilings and the open plan!
