Marriott's Desert Springs Villas I

Room nice and clean.

Bed. Not so comfy. Heard people walking around above me. 1st floor balcony not really private. Right in parking lot by front door. In the market at the hotel, I paid $14 for Tate’s cookies.

The bed was comfortable.

The room which i had upgraded to, was small and the small patio faced a cement wall with the air-conditioner on the other side. I went there to relax and it was stressful. The staff were rude. They now have a resort fee and you pay to have your room cleaned and fresh towels. We have stayed there at least 50 times. We've never had an experience this bad.

I love being able to cook our own food, and use of the JW pool is always a plus

We have stayed at the Desert Springs Villas I and II several times. Both are nice but we prefer DS I. When we checked in, Luis, was very helpful. The location we were assigned to was exactly what we wanted. We can't wait to go back.

Even though one day was hot, the pools needed to be just a little warmer.

The room was nice as were the facilities and location

Except for check-in, the interactions with staff were poor. There was not maid service even though staff said we would get light maid service twice during our stay. The refrigerator was very loud and we had to pull the plug at night so we could sleep. The coffee maker leaked. The toilet flapper did not work. We ran out of soap in the shower but since there was no maid service it did not get filled. The information brochure for the property was vague - ie. will be get maid service, or do we have to pay $40 or more for maid service. And after all that, they asked us to remove trash and linens and clean up the room before we left! Seemed like the focus of check-in support staff was on upselling.
