Sandholme Cottage - Pateley Bridge

Lovely cottage, views, great garden and everything you need within the house. Easy to find.

There wasn't anything I didn't like but the driveway was slippery and tight. I managed a 3 point turn with a Corsa. Anything bigger I'm not sure would fit. The second car had to reverse down.

We had a wonderful stay at Sandholme Cottage over the New Year period. It was incredibly cosy and comfortable, it genuinely felt like staying at an older relative’s home, it was so warm and homely. The kitchen was well equipped, and the shower was brilliantly powerful. We brought our three dogs, who loved it just as much as we did. The garden was fully enclosed with the top gate locked, which gave us real peace of mind. The walks straight from the cottage were fantastic too. The only disappointment was that the gorgeous pub down the road was closed over New Year, but that just gives us another reason to come back. We’ll definitely be returning.

This cottage was perfect, lots of space but still cosy. We were so lucky with the weather and had meals in the beautiful, private garden in the day then snuggled up infront of the lovely wood burner in the evening. It was very private, not overlooked at all. The kitchen was so well equipped and made cooking easy and the American style fridge freezer provided excellent storage. Everything was spotlessly clean. The cottage was simply perfect.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, including new parents who brought their seven-week old baby; the sofa bed in the separate lounge was said to be impressively comfortable. There is every convenience and more to make time at the beautiful cottage just perfect. It's a great location for walking and accessing the shops in Pateley Bridge but this time we most valued being together in the cottage and particularly in the garden - extra bonus of daily sunshine!

Adults, baby and dogs liked every little bit

Location was superb although parking is on the road/pavement as we couldn’t get car off-road because of layout of garden/driveway. Garden is beautiful and not overlooked. Perfect location in heart of Yorkshire Dales

Room with TV was cold and felt damp but other sitting room was very comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped and 3 toilets! This is an old building converted into one large property which means levels are not flat and some rooms floors slope quite a bit so issue for anyone with mobility concerns. We loved it and got used to the quirks! Wish there had been a welcome pack of information we needed like when to put bins out, what recycling is needed, how heating, TV etc works. Was surprised cottage didn’t have this.
