Our house keeper Wayan was really lovely and did a great job but when she was at the house and not needed by us she would seem to have nowhere else to go and would sit outside in the heat and out of site but still onsite? This was uncomfortable for everyone involved - I believe I read somewhere in the optimum bali villa briefing that the policy was to not to let the house keeper person go home early? But it seems unnecessary and unkind to have said housekeeper forced to wait outside the villa essentially in the garden in the heat of the day with nothing to do but wait to be called upon! Maybe a designated space for the housekeeper nearby or onsite thats more comfortable for them to wait to be called upon during the day would be more appropriate? Just want to make sure that the working conditions for the local people on the ground are fair and acceptable.

TERRIBLE. We had two large snakes in the accommodation, 1 pool side and one in the kitchen living areas. We were understandably very scared and left the accommodation and notes staff and they were fine for us to leave. They said they put up precautions to stop the snakes coming back in but nothing was done. They also said they got the snake which we highly doubt but still that only counts for 1 not two. They also are very apparent that you need to lock the Villa for safety which we of course did but when you walk down the sides of the Villa irs completely open into the living quarters so no point of even having a front door! Also the maid that’s meant to be there all the time came for 20 minutes the first and didn’t even come the second day. We stayed one night and left in the morning as soon as we noticed the snakes. They refused to give us a refund for our stay even thou it was very unsafe and also filled the Villa with new people. Also not in a good spot. Worst experience ever.

Nice property! Great location, easy to commute around and quiet.

It is an older property and the stair railing did not feel super secure.

The pool was wonderful and the rooms were spacious. The garden is lovely. It feels very tranquil.

The beds were a little too hard for us.

The location is amazing, it’s a short walk to the beach and around so many cafes and restaurants!
