Chalet Ohana, airport family house

Simple but stylish accommodation close to the airport. We booked a room with Nina on our way out of Tahiti and were very well taken care of. Nina picked us up from the airport the night before after our flight from Bora Bora and dropped us off again early the next morning for our onward journey home. We are very thankful for her hospitality and great service. Her home is beautiful, the room is clean, and we had access to the pool area to have dinner and relax in the evening. 100% recommend.

Just a great place and people

Owners very kind; loved the luxury of having someone pick us up after arriving in the evening at the airport only to turn around & be provided a ride back at 5am for a rtn flight home. 5 min easy pickup/dropoff if just need great air-conditioned spot to sleep in a beautiful home with a private bathroom/shower.

Nothing

Nina and her family made us very welcome as though we were part of her extended family and in addition to our own comfortable private facilities allowed us use of the family’s excellent outdoor facilities and even provided fresh fruit grown in their own garden. Communication was excellent throughout and the transportation to and from the airport was a real bonus. Cannot praise this property enough.

The room was so small, there was no room to open suitcases. Also, I had to turn sideways to get from one end of the bed to the other end to use the bathroom. There was so little room, my wife and I had to take turns opening our suitcases and getting ready to go to bed or to get dressed in the morning. The air conditioning did not cool the room enough. At one time, it shut off and it took 15 minutes in the middle of the night to get it working again. Finally, there were bugs in the unit. When I walked into the bathroom, there were 4 bugs on the sink. More bugs appeared during our stay. Between the poor AC and the bugs, we didn't sleep very well at all.

Nina was super nice to talk to and picked us up from the airport then dropped off back to airport afterwards. The room is charming, clean and matches the photos exactly. We tried the fruits from the backyard that she offered and they were delicious! Even though our stay was a quick one less than 8 hours between flights but we really enjoyed the stay and had a very good sleep on her comfy mattress/beds.

Nina was a great host. Picked me from the airport and dropped me back. The room was clean, spacious and modern. Was very homely. All in all, it was a comfortable 24 hours in Tahiti at Nina’s residence.

It is very convenient to the airport and works well when you have an early departure.

Be aware that the room is very small.

My sister and I spent one night at Nina’s accommodation as part of our layover in Tahiti. Nina’s place is beautiful, and she and her family were very welcoming. The room and bathroom were very clean and had comfortable beds. The AC worked great. There’s plenty of space to enjoy the garden, have a meal, or relax with drinks. Nina was very kind—she picked us up from the airport and gave us great advice on what to do and how to visit Moorea (we also rented a car from her, which turned out to be a great choice). If we stayed in Tahiti again, we would stay longer and definitely choose Nina’s place.

Had a great stay. Nina was very accommodating to our airport needs/wants (other guests wanted to be at the airport for the same flight about 3.5 hours early and we did not, so she took us later). Room was very clean and quite quiet. Bathroom was pristine with nice shower. We were able to rent a car from Nina for the whole day prior to our 9pm flight, so that gave us something to do besides lounge by the pool all day!

I wish there was a stove in the outdoor community kitchen.
