Wanaka easy-living with lake views

The unit felt spacious, modern, comfortable and clean. It was private and quiet. Wanaka easy-living was by far the best place we stayed in during our 3-week vacation in New Zealand.

It is best to have a car (or bike) as it is not an easy walking distance to the Lake, restaurants etc. This was not a negative for us as we had a car, but just so other people know.

It was a two bedroom property which suited as we were two couples

The rate per night for for persons started at $200 when first booked then increased to $225 when it came back as confirmed then when payment taken it had increased again to $250 pn The confirmation pin given a few days prior to check in apparently was not the code to enter, this was given by email a few hours before check in. As we were en route this was not received and we received a call from the owner to say the wrong code was being used on the door and the correct one given then by phone which we relayed to other couple who had arrived first. The owner said he didn’t realise 4 were expected so only 2 towels were left, he would drop more in. These never did appear. He then went on to say he would be charging my card for another $70 per night for the extra guests. This was not stipulated when booking originally and I forwarded the original 4 person booking to him. He said he would check out our queries and get back to us along with dropping in the extra towels, we heard nothing back, nor did we receive the extra towels, even after emailing again to ask how he got on checking the queries.

great views, clean

no shampoo/conditioner which is standard, only a chipped unwrapped small bar of soap provided, looked used. also, we didn't realise the owner was in the house too, although the apartment section was separated, had a shared entrance.

This is a fantastic place to stay, amazing views, super modern and sleek, comfortable, easy. Wish we could have stayed for longer! Nick was also extremely understanding when we had to cancel our night due to being stuck on the other side of Haast pass road closure (check your routes!)

Was conscious of our noise disturbing the owner but I imagine Nick is used to it! No cooking appliances other than microwave but we were happy as we ate out.

Such a warm, comfortable and cozy place with a beautiful view. The location was great and the place was very clean. It had everything we needed and was very private. We really enjoyed our short stay!
