Sandfontein Lodge & Nature Reserve

Great stay in the middle of nowhere, with super friendly and knowledgeable managers. Great service as well, and really everything included. We enjoyed the flexibility on activities offered and loved the canoeing on the Orange River.

The lodge is off the grid so there is no aircon. We stayed there over Christmas and it can get uncomfortable especially at night.

This lodge is gorgeous! The decor is beautiful and incredibly well appointed right down to the dinning table setting. The large chalets are very private from each other with both outside and inside showers and beds! The choice is yours.....sleep under the blanket of stars outside or inside your chalets. The dinning (inside and outside), lounge and pool areas are, spacious and tranquil with outstanding views of the Namibian landscape.. The staff are amazing and attentive. The plated meals were delicious! We are definitely returning . Sandfontein Lodge is a magical place.

This is a gem. Magical place. Amazing views. Great energy from amazing team that runs the lodge. History and hospitality in a completely unique setting. We loved it. Pictures are not showing all the beauty. Stargazing, drinks at the pool and lovely views. Orange river and the desert in a combo. Eco luxury at its best!

Faboulous place! The people, our Guide, the view and the silence. Well worth the long drive from Windhoek. Would love to come back!

The best entrance to Namibia you can expect! We stayed for 2 days and truly loved the estate and hospitality. The drive down is spectacular since the property is located in the middle of the estate. The game drives were amazing and river kayak perfect cooldown, including the perfect lunch (GT included!). Loved to stay longer, if we had know this earlier. We had experienced already the outdoor shower and looking forward for the outdoor bed! How nice! Definitely will come back.
