"The staff was very pleasant. Accommodations were lean and everything was updated. Food excellent in the restaurant.."

Quiet, very clean, everything was perfect for our romantic getaway.

Would have liked a bit of sidewalk or smooth surface to walk down the hill.

Thanks to Jonathan and his superfriendly staff for their caring hospitality!!!

The hotel is located so high on a mountain that older travelers can only reach it by taxi.

"Wonderful, unique stay in prime Puerto Vallarta location."

9.0

A home away from home feel. Personal attention, easy access to staff, gorgeous views, daily breakfast included.

Steep walk up the hill and lots of stairs in the hotel itself. Fine for us, but definitely need to be prepared for this. Our room was not dark at night, no blinds, uncovered windows, we were not able to block out hall lights either. We're hoping this will be addressed before we return again, which we definitely will!

"Good but not great, would not return."

7.0

We loved the view from the different pool areas and particularly the top level hot tub infinity pool. The room maid service was excellent as was the complimentary breakfast.

The biggest issue we had with the hotel was the road noise. Directly outside our giant fold out window was an area where it seems like people liked to congregate late at night and blast music all night long. Also hotel staff after shift would be out front being very loud. This was a huge detriment to the enjoyment of our stay and because of it we would never rebook with Casa Isabel. When we arrived we had to track down someone to let us into our room which after 12 hrs if travel wasn’t the greatest. Management around the hotel is virtually nonexistent.

"Bring some really good ear plugs, watch your step walking around."

3.0

- Nice view. - Cozy Interior, spacious room. - Drinking water in a huge cooler bottle. - AC and ceiling fan work flawlessly. - Mattress and pillows were not as bad as we thought they would be. Takes some time to get used to. - Fully set up kitchen- fridge, stove, utensils, plates... Ended up never using any of that because we were always eating out. It comes with a price- the fridge is kinda loud when it starts its work cycle.

- My first BIGGEST complaint. Late into the night a group of local teenagers on motorbikes really like gathering around the main gate (yes, where the "gathering point" is, with a nice view through the fence). With their modified exhausts, they would ride up there on that narrow street right below your windows. Then they would start having some enthusiastic conversations with occasional laughs, blasting music on their smartphones. This nonsense would go on for a couple hours- can be from 3am-5am, can be from 11:30pm to 1:00am- you never know. My earplugs couldn't isolate their noise. One day after they were gone, at 5:30am some car came around blasting Spanish music at full volume. Reports to the management were left unanswered. The above makes me think there's zero security at the hotel at night. Otherwise they would have intervened. At night you're on your own. - My second BIGGEST complaint. I decided to explore the pool around noon or so. I fell into the maintenance hatch between two loungers, right next to the pool which was left OPEN with ZERO signs around, like a boobytrap. Two maintenance guys were around and watching us all that time. After asking us if we were ok they closed the hatch and fled. I texted the manager about it. He showed up pretty fast. He checked the hatch, said something along "yes, not sure why they didn't use any signs... we have the signs... why not use it...". And he was gone too. Couple minutes later he sent me a text with a generous offer of two free cocktails at the bar. No follow up the next day whatsoever. *sigh*.. At that moment I had a couple of nasty bruises on my knee and elbow. I could really use a first aid kit, man, not a cocktail. Am I really ok? 3 minutes ago I fell into a hatch- I don't know, maybe??.. Definitely NOT IMPRESSED with the manager's skills and empathy.

"Great Views with Quiet Suites."

Quiet place very close to Muertos Beach. ~15 walk downhill, then taxi back up to Casa Isabel.
