"Unpleasant - would not recommend"

Good location

As soon as we got to the airbnb, the water heater was overflowing leaving us without hot water or a washer. The patio was flooded and we all had to take cold showers. This issue was not resolved until the following day. The airbnb also had a terrible odor throughout the apartment that we believe was due to cat piss. Although the team was helpful in sending out people to help resolve our issues, our stay was unpleasant and we ended up leaving a night early. When we asked for one night reimbursed due to the number of issues experienced, our request was denied. Would not recommend.

Central location, not bad state of the apartment

Cleanliness. At first, there was not enough bed sheets, but hopefully they were provided the same day. There were also some problems, as dirty blanket or some garbage laying on the table on terrace, which we could ignore, but on the first night we met a cockroach, which kinda ruined our stay. It could be not a systematic problem, just one bug sneaked in, but all windows were closed the whole time, so we were worried there were more, and so they could get into our luggage and travel back into our own apartment.

"Seen better,will not come back"

We all really enjoyed the location,and the part when we were going home

We arrived to a completely unprepared property. It was around 7°C outside and barely warmer inside (~8°C). The tile flooring on the first floor was ice cold, making it extremely uncomfortable—especially as we were traveling with three children. Only two small bedrooms had AC units, while the entire first floor and the third bedroom were freezing. Despite being informed of our arrival in advance, the host made no effort to preheat the property. To make matters worse, one bedroom was missing bedsheets. During the first night, one of the AC units stopped working completely. I immediately reported this via email, and only received a response the next morning saying someone would come. At 15:00 (!!!)—after returning from the city—no one had shown up. After calling again, we were told someone would arrive “very quickly.” They finally came about an hour later. Communication was difficult as no one spoke English, but they confirmed the AC was broken. Their “solution” was to provide two small heaters and a bag of damp blankets. We were told someone would come later to fix the AC—but no one ever came during our entire stay. Overall, the experience was very disappointing: • Property not prepared for guests • Inadequate heating in cold weather • Poor communication and slow response • Issue never properly resolved I would not recommend staying here, especially during colder months or with children.

The location and check in.

The problem with electricity on the 1st floor hasn’t been resolved during our stay. The owner/ manager didn’t’t pay attention and did not connect with us! The place wasn’t clean properly. The description of the three rooms was not accurate. One of the rooms did not have a bed, but some kind of hard couch without sheets or blankets. There is not enough space in the bathroom to hang towels. For example, in our bedroom there were four towels, but in the bathroom there were only two hooks. In addition, it was clearly stated in our reservation that we would be five people. No one informed us that there was only one water heater (located in a room next to the terrace), which was in no way sufficient for five people to take showers. After all, we were not in Porto to stay inside the house and wait for the water heater to warm up in order to take a shower. The bedroom on the second floor creaks. We find the artificial flowers around the house terrible. Decoration could have been done in another way. If there are flowers, at least they should be real. The most unpleasant issue was the lack of electricity on the ground floor (except for one standing lamp) during our entire stay. Instead of someone contacting us to resolve the issue, we were asked to send proof. When exactly were we supposed to do that? While we were out exploring the city all day, sending photos? Or in the evening, tired, sitting in the “darkness” of the ground floor? We also do not recall whether it was stated anywhere that before leaving the trash had to be taken out to containers that were not nearby. One of us had to deal with this right before leaving for the flight.

"The apartment is in a great location, but it definitely needs some updates to make it more comfortable."

The location is great. Very walkable, but also quiet. The beds are comfortable, and the pullout futon was very nice for children. It is also very nice to have multiple bathrooms. The host was helpful with any issues we had.

The bathrooms all have a moldy smell from being unventilated, there is also mold in the two bathrooms with showers. The downstairs as well as the small bedroom upstairs are very cold. The two other rooms have wall heaters, but only one worked. There was a small space heater provided for the small bedroom, but when it was plugged in, it caused the power to go out. While we stayed at this property the power also went out every time we turned the oven on. We were able to fix it ourselves and except for 1 time, the property did send someone over to fix it, in a very timely manner.
