Eidfjord Adventure hotel Øvre Eidfjord

Friendly, helpful staff – felt more like a family than a hotel. Nice breakfast with freshly cooked omelettes. Comfortable, spacious, modern hotel room. Only 9 rooms on the property; all on the ground floor. Comfortable lounge area with free tea. The owners run an adventure travel company (kayaking, biking, etc.) as well.

Wifi only available in lounge. 10 am checkout. No charging points for electric vehicles onsite (but they're never far away in Norway).

The breakfast was lovely. And we were offered to make ourselves some sandwiches for the day. Great host. Lots of valuable information. Very cozy breakfast room and shampoo and soap available in our bathroom.

No wifi and no TV in the room

Good beds, great breakfast and a surprise present from the host to our son on his 18th birthday. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Check-in and Check-out was super easy. Dog friendly with a dog playground nearby.

Wifi signal in rooms weak to non existing, but good coverage on 4G/5G

The owner is down to earth person. He makes sure that your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfast was off the hook and I can only strongly recommend for any visitors.

Friendly (to talk) owners

Stayed one night. Wi-Fi doesn’t work in the room. No TV, yea/coffee making facilities in room. No hot water. Had a cold shower.Complained. The owner came and said that one of the three serial boilers was not working. He will try to fix it. Nothing until late night. Called again the following morning. They said they can’t do more. Promised full refund and asked for bank details if I can write a good review.As at least one of us could have a shower later in the morning with hot water, I said it is enough to refund 500 NOK (of the total of 1742 NOK). No reply to email. No refund. Definitely not value for money. Being friendly is good but the facilities should be as advertised.

We liked basically everything about this place! The room was very comfortable and clean. The location was beautiful. And the staff were wonderful! Very willing to assist, and so friendly while still being very professional. The breakfast was delicious (a spread of cold things and a hot dish cooked on the spot), and the fact that it was included made this stay feel very worth the value (though it was at the top end of our budget). We were pleased with our time here.

We booked this place pretty last minute because we needed some unexpected access to wifi. The listing said there was wifi included, however it was a pretty weak signal (they explained because of the location in the canyon). We got it to work, so it was fine! But it's not a very strong signal. Also my parter would have enjoyed a mini fridge, as he's a fan of cold drinks!
