Estrella de Mar: Departamento en Progreso

Very nice hosts. Very clean. Pleasant landscaped yard. It's a self contained house with 1 bedroom. There is a second unit behind but it was not occupied during our stay. It is 3 blocks north to the beach and 9 blocks west to the start of the Malecon. Easy to walk to local convenience stores, markets, laundry and restaurants. We were here one month and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I really thought I would like the place but there was a very bad surprise waiting.

Thought the place was as pictured, after it rained there was a very strong stench of dead animals on the property. If you have ever passed by an abattoir, then you know the smell. Now imagine trying to live in the center of it. The smell was so bad it made me sick, headache and vomiting. I had to leave for my health after the first night; customer service did not answer in the 24hrs as it says on the app. The owners claimed there was no smell, so there was no refund.

Very beautiful place, super clean, calm area, close to the beach and various stores. Hosts were the nicest people ever. Thank you very much and see you later!!

On day 3 the unit ran out of water a few minuets before we lost the electricity for 2 days all our food in the fridge was ruined the water tank ran out again during our 20 day stay an the final tragedy , we were locked in the unit unable to leave ,the gate had broken an 3 hours later was repaired I am claustrophobic I thought it was my lasts moments. We left 5 days early we could not handle an more problems. We went to a hotel .

very Nice quiet house with everything, super clean, the hosts are very nice and attentive. a bit far from zentro, but easy to commute by colectivo.

Too many mosquitos, everytime I leave or enter the house with 3 Locks, I get at least 5 bites.

It was so comfortable I stayed an extra week!

The house and garden are very nice in a quiet neighborhood. Fresh tortillas & bakery, laundry and several spots to eat are just a just a 5-10 minute walk.
