Luxe Chalet Leeuwenhart - recreation only

Very complicated system in order to get into the property. One had to leave the car parked outside the compound area. Had to first go to reception in order to pay a tourist tax. Which was not mentioned in the Booking advertisement. Then had to contact the owner for instructions on how to get the keys for the property. Walk to the property which wasn't straightforward. Had to get the keys from the lock box then walk the whole way back to retrieve the car. Then the same palavia on leaving the property!! So many instructions given regarding leaving the property. Strip all beds, bring rubbish away, which was again a long walk back to the reception area. Empty the dishwasher etc. I am surprised they didn't request us to wash the bed linen and clean the property.!! The owner seemed to be under the impression that the renter should do all the work despite the fact that they were paying to rent the property!!! The bathroom was dirty on arrival. The porch area in front of the house was very dirty. Cigarettes butts etc So no real effort was made to clean that area for their paying guests.

Chalet très confortable, spacieux, très bien équipé, propre, très accueillant. La terrasse est très agréable. Nous avons pu laisser la voiture garée car tout est sur place : piscine, supermarché, grande forêt et plus.

Le bruit très régulier de la chute des glands tombant du très grand chêne juste au dessus du chalet (séjour mi-août) qui surprend au départ, et peut devenir gênant avec le temps.

The location is really nice, very close to Veluwe. The chalet is comfortable and is well maintained. Could be a bit cleaner for example the furry/comfy blankets needed a wash I guess. Bedsheets, linen, pillow covers and towels were well washed. The kitchen has all the utensils and basic spices The bathroom was clean and had basic supplies.

This is related to the park and not the chalet itself. It's a bit of an effort to get a keycard to bring the car in, I hope the management can do something here. I believe that's the only way for now.

Alles was super goed en schoon!
