CozyNest 2BR Modern Property with Parking

Initially the owner did respond to our messages and immediately came round when we said we had concerns about the cleanliness of the property. He moved us to his other property and by this time is was 8pm. On initial impressions were that is was slightly cleaner but after an hour we were not happy with either the cleanliness, the facilities provided, various health and safety aspects, and therefore the overall comfort. We messaged him and said there were quite a few issues and we would have to stay that night but that we wanted to cancel the following 2 nights and receive a refund as it wasn't of acceptable quality.

The owner said he 'couldn't' give a refund as it was 'against the terms and conditions'. I appreciate it was a non-refundable booking BUT that was only if it was of satisfactory quality, as described and fit for purpose under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. It was most definitely not. It was unclean, sticky floors, dirty surfaces, cobwebs, marks on bedding, moth under duvet, inadequate/unusuable utensils (no dishcloth, rusty grater, no kitchen roll, no salt, pepper, oil), oven door didn't close, cleaning products with no lids in cupboard under sink, crusty dirt on the walls and dining chairs, chair in lounge collapses when sitting on, wardrobe in bigger room stuck and wouldn't open, nail sticking out next to bed. We had to use the vacuum to hoover various insects from one bedroom and the smell from the vacuum was absolutely horrendous. We had to leave after 1 night as couldn't relax. We have not had our refund (I was only asking for a refund of the 2 nights we didn't stay). Booking.com customer services have been dreadful and not interested. Although they have replied to my emails from a names staff member, they have not answered my questions and merely said that they can't give a refund as it has to be agreed by the property owner (which he is obviously not going to do now as he already has my money and isn't interested in the customer experience). They also told me I should 'read the reviews' in future. I explained that this was very difficult when this property owner has listed his rental properties multiple times under different titles and different costs therefore not having one page with ALL the reviews on it. Maybe not fraudulent but definitely not right morally. Booking.com didn't answer my query about this either. I am so very disappointed in the properties, owner and company.

L'emplacement à 30mn d'Oxford, de Windsor, d'Harry Potter studio et d'Heathrow. Le quartier, calme, sécurisé, avec une forêt à proximité, un petit supermarché et de bons pubs.

La taille de l'appartement, que 2 chaises pour manger et les lits petits et peu confortables. Le parking est plein de voiture obligeant à faire des manœuvres.

The property was very basic and definitely worth paying £165 a night for. The mattresses were thin and lumpy, we had to ask for extra towels as they had only left 2 for the 4 of us, the property was dirty and the kitchen equipment was very tired and very limited. We had been told that there was a sofa bed which we had asked to be made up but there was no sofa bed! Overall it was very disappointing and I definitely would not recommend.

Night halt on our drive to Heathrow for a morning flight. We checked in past 10 pm and there was no issue. The place was clean and as seen in the pictures. Check out at 05.00 am was smooth.

Sound proofing between the main house and annex is not great, although it didn't bother us.
