This is a smart and comfortable apartment in a great location. It overlooks an inner garden courtyard and is just a 20-minute walk to the fabulous Praia Cabanas resort and beach. It's well-equipped to eat from home and on arrival, a complimentary bottle of chilled white wine and water was waiting for us. Three minutes away is a useful local shop. Aldi is 15 minutes away to stock up. Four minutes away is the local train station to get to Tavira (particularly beautiful and atmospheric in the evening) with all its great riverside restaurants, and to travel a little further onto Faro. Train tickets are super cheap as are the Uber-like taxis called BOLT. You can get a water taxi back from Tavira if you fancy speeding along with the wind in your hair or in the evenings simply enjoy the lovely non-touristy atmosphere of Cabanas. Anything from an easy-as-you-like local cafe, bar or restaurant to a cocktail on a rooftop terrace. Bruno the apartment owner was super attentive and on hand to support if needed
