Labernum Lodge - Springhouse Country Park

Beautiful lodge everything was great. More than enough space for 5 adults and 2 toddlers we all had a fab time and will definitely return. The park itself is so relaxing......lovely time had by all

Nothing not to like

Site seemed like a nice place, friendly warden. Lodge looked good at first.

No power due to previous storm. So no lights, heating, etc. Horrible smell inside on arrival which was because of soaking wet carpets in the hall and one bedroom, possibly from leak in the toilet. Oven was apparently not working but had been replaced by an airfryer. One of our party had come from Canada to run the Kielder marathon the following day so this was totally unsuitable. We had to last minute book four rooms in a hotel nearby for seven of us. No response from booking.com five days later apart from an automated reply when I notified them.

The. Tv did not work on any of the main channels,the heating was not working.the Wi-Fi was awful.

Quiet site with lovely walks in the area

Quite far away from closest village, the oven doesn’t work properly, the toaster is on its last legs, the owner didn’t provide the key code. We had to ask for it at reception who were thankfully still open when we arrived.
