Serenity house near city center and beach

Vriendelijke host die goed Engels spreekt. Herceg Novi/Topla was voor ons boven verwachting, misschien zelfs onze favoriet van Montenegro. Het is een klein stukje lopen naar de boulevard aan zee met leuke eettentjes en stranden. Snelle wifi verbinding en goedkoop voor de omgeving.

Zoals aangegeven is het een homestay. Je moet er dus wel rekening mee houden dat je bij mensen thuis verblijft. Ze zijn erg gastvrij maar ik persoonlijk vind een kort verblijf hier passender omdat ik me anders te veel "op bezoek" zou voelen.

Very nice host and nice place to stay

Welcoming host with easy check in and good communication. Room is spacious with aircon & bathroom is across the hall. Easily walkable to all the main parts of Novi Herceg. The main bus station is about a 20 minute walk.

There are about 40 steps to access the property from the main road if you do not have a car. Whilst it is possible to use the kitchen for short meals I would only recommend booking if you’re after just the room as it is a small home and feels intrusive to cook when the family is in the living room connected with the kitchen with the door closed.

It was not what it said. Tea/coffee maker was the family kettle in their room. The directions to find the place are hopeless. The address is Basement Apartment, 32 ul Nikole Ljubibratica,, Topla, Herceg Novi. “Serenity House” is a piece of fantasy. It is not particularly near the beach. Cleanliness was its redeeming feature.

the staff, the location and the experience

The unit had the concept that could be adopted into as a guesthouse. The hospitality of the owner was on top by offering refreshing (so good that I wanted to ask the owner to buy some of that homemade pomegranate juice), city map and guidance to best organize our short weekend trip. The location was convenient since it was close to the beach and not far from old town area. Very economic price made us decide to have this last minute unplanned trip. Hopefully it will stay that way so we may come back more often. P.S. I would suggest the owner to turn it into a guesthouse concept since they had a nice simple kitchen. This will add up by giving guests a local taste and cultural exchange between locals and visitors.

It had a shared bathroom for all 3 guest's rooms which I didn't had that information clear before. The apartment is under renovation so it is understandable that some facilities will be added up such as a small refrigerator in the room.
