The house was AMAZING! Honestly, the amount of peace the space around it gives was indescribable. The room up top is just treat to wake up in. The hot tub was great as well. Definitely go here if you want luxury in the peace of nature. Also the hosts were just the nicest people!

The kitchen oven didn’t get very hot

We hadden ook super weer! Nou als er iets zo moeten vallen dan als het ging regenen maar dat deed het gelukkig niet !!!

This homestead was absolutely PERFECT! It is an exquisite property that is located VERY PRIVATELY right next to the coast, a mere 80m along a well established footpath. There is nature all around the house, and the grounds and gardens are very well kept. We enjoyed long walks along the ocean and the surrounding fields - there is so much to see! The house itself is a special delight: old from the outside but very modern on the inside. Floor heating everywhere in the generous ground floor with huge windows to let in the sunlight and the magnificent views of the fields and pastures. The enormous living and dining room made for a wonderful time of family gathering, delightful meals and enjoyable conversation. The kitchen is excellently equipped with everything we need - and then some! We had forgotten several things like paper towels and special utensils for cooking, but the hosts had already thought of everything. From the soap in the bathrooms to the fresh bedsheets, everything was prepared with a lot of care and thoughtfulness. The game room with darts, foosball table and table tennis provided more than enough entertainment for our teenage kids, and at times even for the adults... The bedrooms are ideally distributed to allow for privacy even for larger groups: 2 bedrooms on the ground floor, 3 on the first floor, and one at the very top. The highlight of the house is naturally the top floor, where you feel like you are sleeping in the clouds. During our stay it was a clear, star-filled moonlight night and the views were amazing - you can even observe the rotating light from the lighthouses that are located on the small islands just off the coast. It was simply sublime! The hosts, Douwe and Tirtiana, were very kind and helpful in every sense of the word. They are wonderful people and very generous by allowing guests to stay in this special property! We are very blessed to have gotten to stay there. Thanks!

The private driveway to the property goes through some fields, and can be a bit muddy in a couple of places just after the rains, so drive gently.
