One bed cosy Highland cottage near Beauly

Nice place to stay in the area where I have have spent holidays and short breaks before - even better this time due to its location being walking distance from the nine - hole golf course and forest walks. Will certainly plan another stay at the property next time I visit or holiday in the area.

Ein gemütliches, liebevoll eingerichtetes und sehr sauberes Cottage, das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Zum Empfang gab es leckeres !!! Brot, Marmelade, Milch, Butter und Süssigkeiten, was nicht selbsverständlich ist. Andrew war ein hervoragender Gastgeber und wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. An Regentagen hat man einen Wintergarten, wir haben ihn jeden Tag genutzt, einen Kamin und kann Bücher wälzen oder aus einer umfangreichen DVD Sammlung auswählen. Die gesamte Gegend liegt in einer aussergewöhlichen Naturlandschaft, die erkundet werden kann. Wir werden das Cottage, Andrew und die wunderschöne Natur in unserer Erinnerung behalten und bestimmt wieder kommen.

The property was spotlessly clean, beautifully finished and fully equipped with everything we could want. There was even a freshly baked ridiculously delicious loaf of bread waiting for us along with butter, jam, milk and other treats. The cottageis very well thought out and generously shares a lovely collection of books, dvds and artwork.

Wish the bed was bigger!

Our stay at Myrtle Cottage was just wonderful! The accomodation itself is unique and cosy offering a very well equipped kitchen and a gorgeous sitting room with a huge selection of books and DVDs and even a real fireplace. Located right next to Aigas Community Forest (a terrific reforestation programme) the accomodation is the perfect hideaway from busy Inverness, but still offers plenty of possibilities to discover the greater Loch Ness area. Andrew and Amanda are delightful hosts who made sure that we felt really at home.

We could only stay for two days. :( If anything, maybe the mattresses could be renewed.

The accommodation pleased us very much; we felt extraordinarily comfortable. We were warmly welcomed, and in the kitchen, we found freshly baked bread along with butter, jam, and milk — we always took some of the bread with us as provisions on our hikes. Very delicious, thank you very much! The equipment and furnishings of the apartment are excellent. We lacked nothing; after returning from our daily outings, it gave us the feeling of coming back to a home. The kitchen is excellently equipped - everyone who likes to cook will enjoy it here. What we especially liked was the peace and quiet we experienced here. For us, it was exactly what we were looking for - a cozy accommodation away from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by nature, yet with good access to excursion destinations and the necessary shopping facilities. We are already making plans to come back next year.

Our stay was too short...

The apartment is really cosy and lovely, it's like coming home. Everything is there to have a nice stay and the location is perfect for heading out to Inverness or visiting the Aiagas Community forest just down the road. We had a few wonderful days and can't complain about anything.

Absolutely spotless and warm and welcoming at the same time. A tricky mix to pull off but this property and the owners do so excellently.

Nothing!

Lovely and quiet, with an open fire. Just what we needed! Plenty of wood to keep the fire going. A huge and wide-ranging seleciton of books and DVDs in the living room and bedroom. Shower was fab. Birds singing in the trees, crocuses flowering in the garden. A great mix of outdoor and indoor.

It was all good.

Lovely cottage, with nice host and amazing fresh bread upon entry.
