"Avoid! Dirty and costly, more maintenence problems than you need on holidays"

2.0

Kitchen was well equipped (although unclean and cooker hood not working). Towels were nice and large (although with other people's hair in it). Double-glazed windows that suggest that the apartment may be nice and warm in winter (although I travelled in June). The Management company asked if I need a baby cot, which was nice.

Where to start... 1. No one tells you that this apartment is on the third floor on a high-ceiling building, so if you have any kind of disability or a baby pushchair to carry, making it up will be a challenge. 2. The apartment was dirty: -other people's hair in the shower -other people's hair in the towel -other people's hair on the bathroom and toilet floor -shower head mouldy and hasn't seen Cillit in long months -shower drain clogged -bread crumbs in the living room carpet -lipstick stain on the glasses in the kitchen -wine glasses looked like they have not even been rinsed after previous users I made a conscious decision not to look in the corners, so I don't discover more... 3. Bedroom: -bedside lamp not working -no socket by the bed -bedding covers not fitted for the bed -- pillow cases too large, bed sheet not tucked, cover for the duvet put upside down, so I have a label by my face; -there is a hair dryer but with a cord too short to stand by the bedroom mirror with it or use the mirror in the living room 4. kitchen: -apart from dirty utensils, the cooker hood was not working; admittedly, by the time I discovered that I was too frustrated with this apartment to look for a hidden switch or other way to fix it 5. doors/floors: -floors uneven, creaking, bending with every step -doors don't close properly -doors don't fit the frame, so if you like a privacy while sitting on the toilet -- choose a different accommodation but the cherry on the cake was... 6. NO HOT WATER, because the boiler was not working! I was told to fix it myself, while the agency couldn't find the manual and declined to send the maintenence. I was asked to climb a stool to check the fuse box while I'm 5 months pregnant and the curvature of the floors resemble a ski slope. I had to find the issue, fix it, repressurise the boiler and all of this is an accommodation that is not a homeless shelter but costs roughly £200 a night.
