Overall Experience Staying at this homestay was a terrible experience and one of the worst decisions I’ve made. Unfortunately, since it was non-refundable, I had no choice but to stay. Booking Process I booked for 5 days and 4 nights at RM490, but with tax, the total came to RM566. I'm not sure why the tax was so high—maybe it's because of the app I used—so I overlooked it. However, I found it unusual that the property didn’t contact me regarding the check-in procedure, so I had to reach out myself. Usually, I receive instructions after booking confirmation, so this was a disappointing start. Facilities Upon arrival, I was shocked to see that almost all the listed facilities were in poor condition: 1. There was no television (which I expected since it wasn't listed), so that’s fine. 2. Although the property listed free Wi-Fi, it didn’t work at all during my stay. 3. Only one of the two ceiling fans in the living room was functional. 4. One room had no curtain, and the others only had thin lace curtains that offered no privacy. 5. The beds were in terrible condition. Just sitting on the bed caused a loud, creaking noise, as if it was about to break. 6. The bedsheet in the master bedroom was ripped. 7. The kitchen was labeled “full kitchen,” but the stove had no gas, so it seemed to be there just for show. The water heater made loud noises, likely from a lack of servicing. 8. The bathroom bidet had no holder, so I had to place it on the floor. 9. The cabinet in one bedroom was broken and hadn’t been fixed. 10. The clock in the living room didn’t work, adding to the impression that almost everything in the house was just decorative. 11. The house was meant to accommodate 4-5 people, yet there were only two dining chairs, and one of them was close to falling apart. 12. The main door’s handle was broken, as it came off several times during my stay, which was very inconvenient and concerning. Cleanliness The cleanliness was truly unacceptable.
