"Overall disappointing experience."

We didnt stay.

Reason we didn’t stay: We booked it and were told it was available for the 1 hour turnaround after the place we were supposed to stay was nonresponsive and we couldn’t check in, but upon arrival It wasn’t clean. The beds had been made, but the couch had smudges on it, the walls were dirty with food and hand grease and the paint was peeling in places. The grout on the bathroom floor was black and then yellow by the toilet, clearly needed to be scrubbed. The rugs had not been vacuumed, there was visible debris of food, glitter, dirt etc on the rugs. I immediately checked for bed bugs and the mattress had dirt on it. Additional concerns I didn’t even address: The locks on one of the neighbors doors were hanging off the door, there was garbage in the communal hallway. The deadbolt didn’t stay if you wiggle the door because the door frame hole wasn’t deep enough to actually close the deadbolt. I left within a few minutes and contacted customer service to refund due to the cleanliness and the host lied and claimed that it was because I didn’t like the parking situation. For context: I asked if there was parking, they said use street parking, I said ‘okay thank you!’. That was all. I wasn’t going to complain about that at all, since they brought it up, their listing didn’t indicate that there is no street parking without a permit that we could find anywhere nearby; my husband dropped me off with my bag and parked a 20 minute walk away. He didn’t even make it there before I decided it was too unclean to stay.
