Landsborough Lane - Wanaka Holiday Studio

Loved it. Perfect place for two. Was rather spacious open plan living. It was warm. Enjoyed the afternoon sunsets with incredible views. Close enough to town. At the end of a quiet dead end street.

Only thing to fault is there is no shower. Yes, there is a bath there with a shower head but you have to sit in the bath to shower.

Warm and modern. It was perfect for our little dog. A nice compact back garden with lovely views. There was also a great longer walk through woodland to a beautiful park. The kitchen was well equipped.

The property was not locatable on Google Maps. I had to leave the car and search on foot. 🥺The kitchen also had no pantry and we had to leave our food stacked in a cardboard box. We couldn’t work out easily how to turn the lights on and off, it was unnecessarily complicated. The remote control for the heat pump had a flat battery so we couldn’t turn down the heat.🥵 I also locked myself in the bathroom in the early hours 😝 with the electronic controls and I had to wake up my wife to help me get the door open.

It seemed well insulated

Poor communication & i had to chase them to find the property details in order to get in. The tap mixer handle came off in my hand when I went to have a shower. Greasy, smelly oven which stank the whole place ou. Microwave situated at a hazardous & hard to reach height. I had to sort out the dishwasher filter & rewash some of the glasses & mugs, and also a greasy to the touch pan before I could use it. No hand wash (so I bought some) or hand towel in the kitchen. No iron or ironing board. No bathroom toiletries, except a hard to use nearly empty container of hand wash. I had to remove 2 wet cleaning cloths that had been left behind the bath & were starting to smell. A plumber arrived at 7.45 am to fix the tap one morning without anyone asking or notifying me. All attempts to communicate with Bachcare failed to work after a visit by their representative to witness & photograph the problems.

The unit is extremely well appointed and has everything you could possibly need. Would highly recommend
