Luxury cosy cottage, enchanting forest location.

Literally everything! I can't praise the place, the location or the hosts highly enough. The location was idyllic. I knew the surrounding area well and knew some beautiful forest walks close by, but wasn't expecting so many options so close by as well. It was literally a case of crossing the lane and straight onto trails into the forest and country side. Or a few minutes along the lane to a trail through woodland straight into the village taking about ten minutes to get to the local pubs and shops. The hosts were perfect. We were contacted in advance to thank us for the booking and check if we had any questions about either the accommodation or the surrounding area. The cottage is split into two with them living in the other half, which at time of booking was a little concern regarding privacy, but it turned out we no reason for this concern. As soon as our car came into view someone was rushing out to greet us (despite car troubles meaning we had to repeatedly reschedule our arrival time!), after that we didn't see them until we were loading the car to leave when someone rushed over to thank us for staying and check we'd enjoyed our stay. Outside of arrival and departure, we knew they were on hand if we needed them or had questions, but we neither saw nor heard them giving us complete peace and privacy. The cottage was lovely. Furnished with everything we could have wanted, beautiful inside and out.

Honestly there is nothing genuinely 'bad' I can say about this place! (We're already hoping to return next year!)

The cottage is lovely, really lovely. It is clean & in a great location.

When travelling from London we are escaping the city and in need of as much green as possible! Sadly the property has no garden whatsoever - there are forests close by of course but there’s nothing worse than having two little boys desperate to run around in the morning with only a patio (which is what we have in London)

Bar far the nicest place we've stayed in the UK so far. We were greeted on arrival and shown around which is a first for us and a lovely touch. The cottage itself felt like a home away from home. Warm, comfortable and very inviting. Great location, you can walk into the village and access some lovely countryside right on your doorstep. Very family friendly, little touches like toys for smaller kids and some board games too for older ones. A toilet with the built in toddler seat was great for our 2 year old and plastic bowls and plates in the kitchen were so useful. Very well equipped kitchen, lovely wood burner in the living room and very comfortable beds. Perfect for the dog too. We were genuinely sad our visit wasn't longer.

absolutely wonderful - I want to live there!

This wasnt necessarily a "didnt like" but just would have been the cherry for us. We had our dog with us and she is used to a garden especially first thing and last thing at night. We did have a paved courtyard but she wont "go" there. It did mean for us getting dressed and going out again just before bed. Its such a minor thing really but in all the photos you could see lots of garden space and I didnt check whether it was part of the cottage. My error entirely and it certainly would not deter me from renting this gorgeous property again!!

Brilliant stay. It was cosy, brilliant location and facilities were great. Would certainly stay again and recommend to friends/family. Dan was very welcoming and friendly.

The cottage was exceptionally well-equipped; we had everything we needed, allowing us to focus on enjoying our time there. The location is fantastic—cozy, quiet, surrounded by a beautiful forest, and the Halloween decorations added a lovely touch. The host provided plenty of information and was incredibly welcoming. It’s also very kid-friendly, with lots of toys and a baby cot available upon request.
