Prolific Blue Oasis near Med Ctr Dwntwn Galleria

My family and I liked the location of the property, which is located in a quiet and safe neighbourhood. The property is a 3 minute walk to the local bus stop (which takes you directly to the METRORail Red line) and less than a 10 minute walk to a gas stations' convenience store and 24 hour restaurant (Denny's). The property itself was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The hosts were very quick to respond to emails, very professional and kind.

Our only complaint: No hot water in the ensuite shower stall. It was lukewarm at best.

We especially appreciated some of the thoughtful extras provided—like the additional bedding and pillows, the extra fans, and how well-stocked the kitchen was. The place was very clean as well-smelled good too! There was basic cleaning supplies and a broom- this was great, especially with kiddos and their crumbs. I also appreciate all the bathroom extras like body soap and shampoo and conditioner. The graffiti wall and overall decor was super cool and made the vibe feel like we were on vacation-that is how you want it to feel. We did struggle getting the code to work initially when we checked in and it was late but they answered us right away and got us inside - really great customer service! They have high-end appliances and a washer and dryer, which was amazing! No going home with dirty clothes! Also, the place is really spacious! If you need extra places to sleep, there is ample room for a couple full size blow-up mattresses.

These are more constructive notes than complaints, as we didn't say anything until we checked out and I feel like if we would have said something, they would have addressed this. There were a couple of pieces of furniture that need to be addressed for safety - the glass side table in the living room was very wobbly. The computer desk in the master bedroom had a leg completely broken (I only noticed it because we were scooting the desk away from the window curtains). The master bath shower window could use some added privacy (film or blinds), as the neighboring home has a direct view. It might be helpful to have a quick note for the showers (especially the master)—it took us a minute to figure out how to work the nobs and for the hot water to kick in. The parking in the back was doable but it was tight when all surrounding units had cars parked back there (this is not a dealbreaker and it is what it is but definitely less ideal). And lastly, having some extra remote batteries and a can opener in the kitchen would be nice.

I like that we were able to walk places, but the neighborhood was not the safest. Many cabs cancelled , we couldn’t get out of the front gate only through the back with 3 other apartments . We were unaware it wasn’t the whole house until 3 women came out of the backyard asking us for our passcode to see inside because they didn’t like their area .

It was not clean . The sheets were dirty, the washer had mildew rags in there , the toilets had urine on the back of the seats, the shower was cold in 1 room, but the my were fast to respond when updated .

The place was exactly as described. Very clean, quiet and felt completely safe. It was well-equiped with everything I needed for my business trip. Having a parking spot for my rental car was a bonus.
