"A pleasant Autumn break at the Hideaway"

The house was comfortable and well fitted out, there was plenty of hot water and kitchen equipment, including an air fryer. The property was convieniently located a short walk from the centre (Lord Street) with it's good selection of restaraunts and bars. There was a very nice outside secluded space which would be great in the warmer months, also the property felt secure as it was hidden behind the main house with parking at the front and access through a gate at the side. Any issues or questions was quickly and politly addressed by Carl who was easily accessable by phone/WhatsApp.

Due to the open plan nature of the living area and some very cold outside temperatures the lounge area never got very warm, set the thermostat at 21c (you are asked to set the tempreature at 21c when in and lower to 17c when out) however it only just manage to reach 20.5c, the bedrooms were warm as they had doors as was the bathroom with it's towel radiator. It should be noted that anyone with limited mobility would find the stairs steep with narrow steps, my Wife found it challenging even with the handrails, also the shower room is quite small, keep the flow rate on full when showering otherwise it has a tendancy to go cold. There are three steps down to the kithen and bathroom with no handrail athough they are nice and wide. The oven could do with a deep clean, which we only used once to reheat a take out meal.

The property was well situated, quiet and fully equipped. The best thing was the communication from both Carl and Claire. When we arrived there was a few essentials in the kitchen which was appreciated, a lovely kind touch. During the stay Claire checked in via text to check we had everything we needed. First class

This is purely personal I would of preferred a toilet on the same floor as a bedroom due to my being elderly and needing to get up several times in the night. Like I said it is just a preference. Nothing we didn't like

Location was great and it was very clean and had everything we needed. Thanks to our host for the little extras of bread milk butter and cookies. Had a very welcome cuppa with toast on arrival.

Near all amenities Nice gesture by owner milk..bread..butter..and cookies left ...on arrival

The apartment flat 5 is not good for elderly people very steep stairs to the bedrooms( ended sleeping on sofas which was Uncomfortable) also the Stairs Not safe for young children...The seating (settees) was positioned wrong as sitting sideways to watch tv..stiff neck..could do with sofa looking forward to watch tv....smell of damp.. from a Mop which had to be placed outside..(after finding the cause)..out look will definitely NOT staying again....photo of stairs added... Also photo of 1 of sofa bed in lounge which was hard to sleep on...
