"A lovely hidden gem!"

8.0

The property was gorgeous. The views were honestly stunning (the photos don’t do it justice). The apartment had everything we needed and was a lovely space. It was also relatively safe for our toddler and features like the glass door to the living room were ideal for keeping an eye on her if we were in the kitchen. The whole place is decorated nicely and seemed fresh and not too cluttered. The kitchen was well stocked and everything in good working condition. The welcome booklet had everything in that we needed to know and the hosts messaged us the key code in good time. There is some road noise but the windows did a good job of blocking most of this. The WiFi worked well. It was also nice to have access to the internal entrance. The place felt really homely but bright and airy (and again, those views!!) Overall a superb stay!

Overall we loved the property, there were just a couple of little niggles worth mentioning. - the floors were a little dirty (not ideal with the toddler) and the lounge had a stain on the floor upon our arrival. The bathroom also smelled a little ‘funky’ if we shut the window, again I’m assuming it was the floors not the cleanest. - the back entrance to the property was a little treacherous! The stone steps are all slanted and different sizes and the handrail has rotted. Then the decking steps ‘bounce’ and bow as you stand on them which was nerve wracking when carrying the toddler across. - the main bed (although comfy!) is only a double but there is more than enough space in that room to make it a kingsize. This would have really helped us to sleep a bit better.

"Lovely apartment with stunning views"

Lovely apartment with stunning views over the estuary towards Conwy

It is a little remote. Not a lot around it. Although is was only a 10 minute walk to a good pub “castle view” and an amazing Cantonese restaurant next door “Nikki Ips”. Was still a great stay and I would recommend the property. Secure parking opposite from £4 overnight/24hrs

"All in all, despite a few niggles, an enjoyable break."

9.0

Location ideal. Apart from beautiful views across the estuary, we were ideally placed for catching trains and buses to other areas of interest. We also used a local taxi company who were extremely informative and reliable.

Although the apartment was very attractive, as pensioners the access was challenging. We thankfully had some assistance from our driver with the luggage. Also puzzled that although a booking had been taken for three people, there were only two chairs obviously available. We were told we could remove one from the bedroom as long as we put it back. I think grab rails in the bath/shower would be reassuring too.

"A pleasant stay in a good overall location."

7.0

The property was a spacious two bedroom second floor apartment with fantastic views of Conwy Castle and the estuary. A good selection of books and DVDs in the lounge. It had one of the best stocked equipped kitchens for home cooking.

I enquired about access before booking and was told the situation from the front and back. However my elderly mother in law struggled at both access points. She also found the single bed in the second bedroom strange to sleep in as it had a hard rigid side. Also access into the bath to use the bath/shower is difficult for the elderly with no handrail. The apartment is on a fairly busy main road over the top of shops/bars. This meant on two occasions bottle recycling collections from the bar were carried out very early in the morning (6am or 7am) waking us up prematurely. Finally parking is difficult. Deganwy railway station car park can be used for an overnight fee (£1.20) from 6pm but you have to have removed your car by 8am.
