The walk from the bus station is itself interesting since you’ll pass the Shankill Road murals. The host was also accommodating about me leaving my bags in the unit on the last day after checking out. The shared toilet was quite clean even though the shower area is not entirely enclosed and so tends to result in wet floor.

Note that you’ll need to pay a deposit of £60 to stay at the property - usually bank transfer or Revolut. I couldn’t create an account on the latter so the host let me pay this in cash and collect that some time after checking out, but just bear that in mind when making a booking to see if if lines up with your plans. To be clear - I was told of the deposit beforehand so this isn’t a complaint about it having been sprung on me, it’s just less convenient than another place that doesn’t require a deposit. Also, on my first night, I was woken at 3am by another guest at the property who’d locked themself out in the yard whilst smoking and was throwing rocks at my window to get me to let him in. This is probably an inherent risk when multiple guests are staying at the same property so again just bear that in mind.

The host was rude and unresponsive for a long time. I tried reaching out through different messaging apps just to get a reply, but I never received a refund.
