L,unica nota positiva è la posizione centrale, ma la zona la conoscevo e per questo l’ho scelta

Innanzitutto nei depliant di Booking non era indicato che la struttura fosse a pianterreno. Lo abbiamo appreso solo all’arrivo ma non lo abbiamo ritenuto importante. Le cose gravi sono state due. Una di natura strutturale in quanto è impossibile affittare una casa simile, in un periodo caldissimo con una sola stanza ad aria condizionata e l’altra e il salone assolutamente inabitabili. Eravamo due coppie e abbiamo perfino litigato per occupare quello più confortevole . Ma la cosa gravissima è stata quella di essere stati 14 ore senza elettricità con i responsabili irraggiungibili per una notte intera e Booking, raggiunto telefonicamente a nostre spese (perché senza corrente non funzionava il Wi-Fi), incapace di risolvere un problema, che ora cercheremo vedere soddisfatto in sede legale, per le spese sostenute (cena, telefonate e disagi vari). In Sud Africa l’elettricità è come il cellulare, quando finisce va ricaricata, il fatto è che arrivando noi ospiti, si sono dimenticati di pagarla e non rispondevano neanche al telefono fino alla mattina successiva. Un ultimo aneddoto negativo. In un armadio c’era una cassaforte chiusa ma la struttura si è ben guardata di spiegarci il funzionamento, anzi a quanto sembra non conoscevano neanche l’esistenza perché a nostra richiesta ci hanno detto di non sapere nulla e di mandare loro una foto…

Location to places where good, but the area outside the apartment block was a bit sketchy with lots of homeless people hanging around.

I have given the apartment a rating of 5 as fair. Had the most unpleasant experience with the hosts, They send me a link for Guest portal, which I did not complete straight away as the description was that it was check in information like lockbox code and Wi-Fi that my son did not need at that time, got another reminder of it that I must access it and when I opened the link I saw that you had to add each guests details, name, ID, email, cell number, which I requested from each quest and then completed. I had made a mistake while booking on the app that I did not add my son's name as the main guests but did add his details when completing all the necessary information. I completed all the details on the portal on the 15th and have had constant communication about the booking at that time, the morning of the 17th (a day before they had to arrive) I get a lengthy message saying: I'm really sorry about this. We recently moved to a new booking system and during change over, the calendar between Airbnb and Booking.com didn't sync..... shorten version - your stay is cancelled; here is an alternative place (which had no availability). After I was very upset it started with the booking was under another name and now it is a new name, and I knew that they did not want my son and his girlfriend and two of her girlfriends staying there. Then a new message comes to say - don't look for an alternative all is actually in order. They where all flying in and then also got a message do they want a complimentary earlier check in, which I did not want as made arrangements, but when they wanted to go at 14:00 to check in the code was not available as yet and at 15:00 the keys where not there, but the cleaner in the end did help them in. The day of checking out was also told that the cleaner will be ready and there at 10:00 as they just needed an extra 15 min to get ready, but again was not there at 10:00, but they had hurried and was out before she came.

The location was great and very convenient and the apartment was very spacious. It looked like the photos and the apartment was very well equiped

Checking in and out was difficult The day before check in I received a code from another Airbnb on queen's road and thought that was the apartment so we initially went to the wrong place It was also confusing getting into the property The code for the gate did not work And we had to wait a while until we saw a cleaner from another apartment to open for us and give us his code Another problem with the virtual check in process was it allowed for limited flexibility For example our flight got in early and we arrived at the property early but had to wait an hour for the code to enter Finally, we also saw some cockroaches around the apartment which wasn't ideal
