Our favorite part was the awesome sunrises we got to see out the windows. The view was amazing. Very private and quiet area. Easy bus or walk to town. 3/4 mile walk on one road to the piazza del campo. 4 amazing nights. Thank you.

The property was very clean and the location was excellent

The listing is very misleading - we thought we had booked an apartment in a lovely building on the edge of a hill with beautiful views and lots of great reviews. Just before we arrived (and too late to cancel) we were told we were the first guests in the ‘new house’. The ‘new house’ is a dark unit at the rear of the compound with two windows that overlook a brick wall and a 3rd small window with views of the Tuscan countryside. The property was very clean and it had been refurbished but the fit out was done as cheaply as possible. The maisonette represents a fire risk - the (very noisy boiler) is located on the stairs (the only fire escape route) right by the double bed, and it is behind a venetian blind not a flame retardant door. There are no carbon monoxide or fire alarms, but there is a fire extinguisher by the front door which is downstairs and a long way from the boiler. The two ‘closets’ are one small chest of drawers and a rail with 4 hangers One of the burners on the stove wasn’t working Strips of plastic have been thumb-tacked to the stairwell to stop light from downstairs coming into the upstairs bedroom which does not have a door The single bed is situated right next to the bathroom door, it has no storage (not even a bedside table) and the switch for the light is a long way away by the front door. You have to unplug the fridge to use the kettle Only 1 pillow per person on the beds (but the double bed is comfy) The uncomfortable sofa was covered by a slightly faded and very ugly piece of cloth with two lumpy scatter cushions that are too small for the rather tired looking covers. The outside seating is 2 hard plastic chairs overlooking the owner’s front door, ashtray and patio (that he permanently occupies during daylight hours) The maisonette is poorly insulated so you can hear the people moving around in the neighbouring flats, especially at night.

Elegant, spacious, modern, super clean and comfortable house, stunning views of tuscan countryside. Excellent location: parking onsite, amazing pasticceria right out front, and pizzeria 2 minutes away for when we stayed in. A magical stay, thank you!

Would be good to have a small sofa to watch tv or read together, but this is a minor thing, everything else is wonderful.

A wonderful property in great location for views over countryside and a reasonable walk into centre of Siena. Decor very tasteful and modern, very “new” feel. Would definitely stay again if possible.

I got impression outside area not quite finished, some chairs would be nice. Kitchen lacked comfortable chairs in communal area but we were mostly out and about anyway.

We missed having some kind of area for sitting/relaxing. Everything else - kitchen, bathrooms, beds and bedrooms, view and location - was great.

Loved the private parking behind the gate out front of the house. Loved the panoramic views of the Tuscan hills out of the windows. Loved that it was just a ten minute walk to the City Walls. Our host was super friendly and very communicative! The beds were super comfortable. Everything was very clean, but felt so cozy. We felt immediately right at home here.

I can’t think of a single thing I didn’t like. It was perfect!
